LEGO The Hobbit - PlayStation 4

I love Lego Games and anything Lord of the Rings. So I had to get this game. I had heard many good things about the game and they were right. Its a really fun game. The levels do a great job of recreating important scenes from the hobbit movies whether is the troll caves to riding down the river in barrels. It is amazing how they can turn a simple scene as to feeding the dozen or so dwarfs into a level...especially the singing part with dishes. The scenes that play out are funny. The voice acting is great since it is taken from the movies themselves. It is quite funny to see a serious scene acted funny with movie audio.Dont get this if you are expecting all three movies. This game contains the first two "An unexpected journey" and "Desolation of Smaug" with the third film "battle of the five armies" rumored to be dlc. So expect to pay extra money eventually for the full experience or wait to see if they release a full version.If you havent played a lego game in a while they is a new gameplay introduced in the Lego the movie video game where at varius parts of the game you have to collect a certain amount of items that you get by destroying objecs. You then use them to build something to help you advance in game. If lets say you need 50 fish, 75 gold and 25 wood and you have everything except 3 pieces of wood, you cant build so you have to look for 3 wood. Some of the side missions involve this. It will take soon getting used to.One great thing about lego games is the replay value. It took me 2 weeks to beat the game 100%. Once you beat all the levels you may want to return to collect the stuff you couldnt get due to not having the right character at the time. There is also side missions to unlock characters, red bricks (basically cheats), weapons, etc. So it may take you a while to beat.One minor flaw is the camera angle. At times it will cause you to mess up or fall or not see enimies. Which can be annoying if you are trying to get somewhere.Overall, great game. Fun for all ages. From kids to adults. Fun and silly game. A few glitches but nothing serious

Today we reached 100% completion on the game and 82% on the trophies. The game play is as fun as we've come to expect from playing just about every lego game since Star Wars. Smash everything you can can and interact with anything that glows and you're good to go. This is the first lego game we were able to get through everything with only checking on walkthroughs a few times. Loved the red brick for Middle Earth Carnival so had that turned on just about constantly after unlocking it. The addition of mining and fighting for loot and building structures in the hub and levels was also fun and interesting. We enjoyed it more than Lego Lord of the Rings even though we like the movies this game is based on less. I also want to mention that the last several Lego games caused me some motion sickness when first starting and this was no exception.There are similar weird bugs in every lego game so we're used to some issues but this one seemed to have a few more than we were expecting. Things we didn't like:* You can no longer change characters in the hub until after you've completed story mode on all the levels. We like taking breaks from levels to open up hub items and we couldn't do that this time unless we happened to get the character(s) we needed when exiting a level.* The yellow trail studs leading you around the map weren't always complete from where you were to where you needed to go. There was a lot of hopping to different eagle points and jumping off of trails in the hopes of the studs appearing to finish getting you someplace. This is where we had to use walkthroughs to find some of the quest or character locations. Not sure if a bug or bad programming* Several times while in co-op when one person would travel by eagle the whole game would slow down. It was bad enough we had to ask the other person before traveling in case they were in the middle of something like jumping on wires.* There were red bricks for finding treasure items, minikits and mithril bricks but not one for blacksmith designs?Some of the bug/glitches:* More than once when the second user came into the game their character would end up pushed into the map border. It looked like they were walking around a misty landscape going through mountains and they could fall off the map paper. Very strange.* The Treasure Locator red brick did not initially work for us. After the game crashed on us and we came back in directly to the level we had been playing the brick started working so we thought it would be fine but then it stopped when we went to the next level. After some trial and error we discovered that every time we entered a level we would have to turn the brick off and then back on in order to get the yellow arrows. Every level, every time.* In the level with Radagast on his bunny sled leading the orcs away we were not given the option to attack the orcs during freeplay like we had been during the story mode. Eventually we turned off all the red bricks except the multipliers and the jump option reappeared.* We still don't know why but our stud totals would drop from what it was at the end of a level to when we were in the hub. We'd end a level with 5.4 billion and when we were in the hub we only had 5.2 billion. Seems silly to complain about but when you're going for all the trophies, every stud counts.* Even at 100% complete, we're missing some trophies that should have appeared when the levels were complete.* At some point the mithril brick count was 10 off. We knew were missing 1 but the total still said 239 instead of 249. Once we got the last brick the total jumped to 250.Editing to add:We have hit 40 hours of play and reached 100% on the trophies. Much faster than usual with Lego games where we expect closer to 52 hours to full completion. The game crashed twice more as we were working on the last few trophies so we started saving and quitting whenever we made a certain amount of progress to avoid redoing things. We also found another bug in the Hide and Seek quest in Lake Town. When you walk up to the quest to activate it you can get the mithril brick even though it's grayed out and you haven't done the quest. In order to get the trophy for completing all the quests you have to actually do it. Once we found the three children the trophy kicked in. If you only want 100% in the game you don't have to find the children if you get the brick through the bug.

My son said it’s very good video game so any young children can play this!

Peccato sia solamente in lingua originale(inglese)ma mio figlio ha apprezzato ugualmente il regalo. Gioco realistico come il film.

Le doy 4 estrellas porque el juego no es un clásico pero la calidad, atención al detalle y diversión están ahí. Me gustaron los pequeños giros a la historia, con respecto a las películas y el libro, para darle una aire más cómico y suelto (muy ad hoc para un juego de LEGO) Es excelente para niños, mi hija de 5 años esta fascinada jugándolo; pasó el primer nivel por si sola por lo que no es extremadamente complicado para un niño de esa edad.

レゴをプレイするのはMarvel Super Heroesについで2作目です。キャラクターの動きがいちいちかわいくて癒されます(^-^)グラフィックも綺麗だと思います。物語のナレーションが多いのと、キャラクターがけっこうおしゃべりするので、多少英語がわからないとつまづくかもしれませんが、ストーリーはあらかた理解できると思います。それでも…という方は、先に映画を見てからプレイしてもいいかもしれません。ミニゲームやコレクタブルも多いのでやり込み要素は十分すぎるくらいだと思います。メインストーリーが終わっても長く遊べます。個人的にはタイムレースが意外と盛り上がって好きです。音楽も映画そのままなので、ファンの方にはぜひプレイして頂きたいです。もちろん、特にファンでない方も楽しめる内容だと思いますのでおすすめします(^-^)レゴはほとんど北米版しかないので、これからもっとローカライズされるといいですね。

Bought for nephew for Xmas...Will only assume it is a good game but haven't played it myself. Did arrive quickly though and as expected.
