JUNWEN 16.4ft White Led Strip Lights, 12V Waterproof Led Strip Lights Flexible Light Strip Indoor for Bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom(Not Included Power)

Over the last 7 years, I've done several projects using LED strips from various vendors. This kit seems to be much better quality than others I've used. Granted, never purchased professional kits, always hobbyist consumer grade. But, for under $20, this seems to be a good compromise between value and quality. This is my first time using 2835 LED's and will not be last. The strips are narrower and the LED seem just as bright as the 5050's. Also, they seem to run cooler, an important consideration in my implementation - an aquarium tank lid light. Another positive about the kit that I received was that it was one continuous 5 meter string, no splices, unlike some LED's strips I've received that are spliced every 1 meter. Only questionable part is the quality of the power supply. Only time will tell but my experience with other kits like this is the p/s will usually fail within a few months. The dimmer is adequate though not using it in my implementation. However, it is convenient to use for testing while working on a project. BTW, if you are new to working with LED's, they are fairly simple and easy to use. However, if you intend to cut / splice for a custom installation, suggest that you learn to use a soldering iron. I've tried the premade connectors with pigtails and found out the hard way that they do not make a reliable circuit. Overall, I can easily recommend this LED kit and would purchase again.

Got the proper color, some reviews mentioned color issues. I was a little nervous since some of the photos in the reviews looked gold colored, and this company actually sells a gold version. With the included adapter the strip is very bright, tried hooking it up to the RV wiring and it’s only half as bright. No idea why since they both measure 13v. In fact, the RV voltage is a little higher. Disappointing since I planned on getting a 12V dimmer and doing a nicer install, have to use the wall plug that comes with it.

I purchased these lights to install under my rooftop tent and inside of my trailer cabinets. I know I wanted something waterproof, warmer color, dimmable, 12v, and low power usage. This product solved each one. Granted, I only installed them a few days ago so I can't speak about the waterproof-ness of it yet. The install went great and it was simple to do. The back has 3M double sided tape; one of the top choices. In addition to the 3m, I used a little PL400 because the surfaces have a rough painted finish on steel and other stickers don't stick. So far, this is holding up great. On the cuts, I put heat shrink tubing on the end with a tab of hot glue to make it more waterproof, just in case. I also purchased plugs to solder to the ends, just like the factory plugs. I have nothing to compare it to, but I thought the power usage was a bit high. I want to say that with about 13' of lights, I get about 1ah of battery depletion. I have this hooked up to a 12v, 100ah LiFePO4 battery. Maybe this is normal for lights in this category. I was just thinking LED are energy efficient and the SMD2835 are some of the most efficient LED's. Despite the power usage, I ordered a second pair to continue with my project and it was identical to the first with build quality.

Used in reptile enclosure in addition to heat bulb/light bulb and created great natural light

My original under-cabinet lights finally died so I did some online research and came up with these as a replacement. I liked that I could choose a warmer LED color instead of bright white. They arrived quickly, as promised. Unfortunately, the dimmer switch was broken out of the box, but everything else looked fine. My dad was only visiting for one day so we had to install them before I could try to return/exchange the set. I figured I could just use them without the dimmer switch, as the lights are on an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch anyway. My dad is very handy but had a little trouble installing these due to limited (and very tiny print) instructions, but we figured it out through trial and error. The problem was less with the lights and more with the connectors we had to buy to make 90 degree turns. One straight line would have been a breeze to install! Anyway, we got them all up and they look great! Even with having to move some strips around, they are sticking just fine with no sagging. The lights are brighter than my old ones so the dimmer is necessary after all. I contacted the seller yesterday and received a prompt and apologetic response that they are sending me a new dimmer switch--and it already shipped out! I'm impressed with the seller's customer service! They want you to be happy with their product! So far, I do love the product and will love it even more when I can dim as needed. There is about a one-second delay between flipping the switch on and seeing the light (which was not the case with my old ones), but it's not a big deal. They turn off immediately with the flip of the switch. I highly recommend these lights and hope to enjoy them for years to come.

The dimmer wasn’t there nor the adapter

I bought these lights to install on both sides of a mirrored cabinet over a bathroom vanity. Sadly, the brightness is nowhere near what's needed for anything more than a night light. The photos with this review show a comparison between the light over the cabinet, the LED strip and both. The light over the cabinet reflects off the ceiling providing a somewhat soft light with strong shadows. At the same exposure, you can see that the LED lights provide a more even light but are MUCH dimmer. When both lights are on the shadows are somewhat brighter but not enough to serve well for applying makeup or other vanity light uses. The lights and dimmer function well and appear easy to install, though I won't be installing these in their intended location. If you want to use these for under-cabinet kitchen lights, I think they'd be OK, but not for a bathroom vanity.
