Very nice book my kids loved the content. Received on time and in good condition. Product was nicely packed.

The books (package of 3) came in hardcover copies which was a surprise to me. The text as well as the print is really good. The content itself invokes nostalgia as I read used to read other Amar Chitra Katha books in my childhood. So far, i have read the first book halfway and it's a 5/5 rating for the book itself. The packaging as always with Amazon, 0/5.

The best Book for Kids

Great packaging, comes with a decent box to hold the three hardcover books in place. Always been a fan of Dilip Kadam's artwork and this one is my most favourite, presented in crisp detail and good size. Nothing much, but personally, the colour palette looks kind of dated and should have been a lot vivid. And a few panels, just a few, with special characters like Arjuna and so, are colored normally. Other than these minor things, you can go ahead and grab this set either for yourself or for the ones who love to read.

I was most surprised by the length of this collection. Its a three volume set with each volume being 2cm thick. It will probably take my daughter and I months to read it all. This is probably the most complete rendering of the Mahabharata in a format that’s accessible for a young audience. Even though it’s in graphic novel format, my 9 year old daughter who loves reading isn’t able to understand the story unless we read it together. Perhaps she will catch on after we get past the first few hundred pages. At least at the beginning there are too many characters and too much new vocabulary for her to handle on her own.

This complete collection of the Mahabharata is just what I wanted to help my child who’s born into the world of YouTube to learn our ancient history the way we imagined it when we were young. Despite the decades that have passed since this series was created, it still triggers excitement and imagination of elders and the young alike. We gifted one of these to our friends who were Australian and they were absolutely fascinated by it.

My daughter was gifted these books on our visit to India and I din't bring it back to Canada. But my 7 year old asked me about it every single day. So I ordered the same set from here... This is the best Mahabharata book available and I'm so thankful for the authors and book makers for this set.

I had enjoyed this set as a child nearly 25 years ago when it was released as chapter book by Uncle Pai of ACK. I bought this set for my 10 year old daughter to introduce her to one of the greatest epic to be ever written. My kids have enjoyed learning about Indian mythology through ACK books. The set comes with 3 big volumes of: 1. The Kuru Princes 2. Pandavas in Exile 3. On the battlefield of Kurukshtra Each volume is a heavy book and covers all the important details of the epic. The books are well illustrated and presented but kept simple for the kids to enjoy. The set is recommended for 10-15 years depending on the interest of the child. It is also recommended for adults if they have not read the epic before. Each book is divided into chapters and will make a good bedtime read (for several months). Mahabharatha is an extensive and exhaustive saga of emotions, characters, situations and emotions. There is no human emotion or character that exists that has not been described in the epic. This set is a starting point to explore the other books/characters mentioned in this epic, all available in ACK. Each chapter can be further discussed to understand the moral of the story, emotions of the characters, understanding of the behaviour etc. It is a beautiful set of book, well presented, colourful front cover, the usual high standards of ACK and a good gift to any youngster, specially of Indian origin.

3 Big books in a tough hard cover. Each book has like shiny parts on book e.g Arrow on first book will shine if you tilt the book. The sentences sometimes are a bit long but my 9YO seems to be loving it so far. He had started watching the Mahabharata on TV. No complains about the book. Its well made book, excellent looking cover, the art work inside is also beautiful just not as bright as the covers. Recommended for sure for kids ( and adults ) so they can learn some Indian culture and history.
