Litter picking and reaching things in my home.I also bought one for my elderly mother.The helping hand is much better and longer than those silly grabbers they give to disabled people.I recommend this product . I have had one on my gardening works van for over 23 years now. all temperatures hot and cold in the back of the van.This model is an absolute star product for litter picking, picking cuttings up from awkward places, and reaching things in the home in difficult places, eg behind the sofa!!Excellent value for money.Brilliant and easy to use.

This does the job exactly how you want it to. Quality is great and it's repairable if in the future the string breaks unlike the others sold on Amazon that use a bar as a lever which is then connected to plastic and they all fail.I can't praise this thing high enough, it is fantastic quality and value for money. Ours gets quite heavy use and has been up for the task so far.Save yourself the headache of having to replace the cheap others sold on Amazon like I have had to. Just get this and buy it once.

Excellent device for collecting things iff the floor or ground without hurting your back. I'm very tall and was struggling to pick up litter around my local street which I hate and think makes my neighbourhood look awful. I hurt my lower back several times bending down to collect litter so needed to find something suitable. This device is excellent and at 6'4" this length (37") is ideal. I'm very impressed with hiw light it is and how easy the handle trigger is to operate. A very simple and clever mechanism makes the whole thing work. It is extremely effectuve at oicking up objects although I do think there is a weight threshold. I've been able to collect everything from crisp packets, cardboard, plastic coffee lids, drink cans, bottles, used face masks and even cigarette ends with this unit. Very good for the job.

It is good quality and picks up the tiniest piece of litter with ease. But beware - it is long! Longer than my arm, in fact, so I can't hold the bag in my other hand far enough away to be able to drop the litter in it (I'm 5'6"). I have to take a friend with me to hold the bag....

Best yet well built all good would recommend to anyone wishing to purchase

I actually bought this, not for litter picking, but for my elderly mother who has some mobility problems, including bending down. This has helped enormously and allows her to pick up even the smallest of objects she may drop. Easy to operate handle/jaws so even anyone with perhaps arthritis should be able to operate with little difficulty. Good length too and can honestly say this has been life changing for her.

I have had one of these for seven years. Despite several minor repairs, it is still working as good as new. This one is for a cousin who now also has difficulty bending. (Pity it can't tie shoe laces).

I am very pleased with this picker, it has a fine tip for accurately picking the smallest of litter pieces, but it also copes well with bottles even when partly full. I chose the 37" version as I am quite tall, this makes it slightly more awkward to carry around by the handle when just walking, but it is light enough, not to be a nuisance. Sturdy, simple construction but I have not used it enough to see how well it wears yet.
