Perfect sound
Deep mellow sound at idle rowdy when you hit the skinny pedal

This is a great muffler that is made out of really nice stainless ...
I installed this muffler on my 1996 Chevy Silverado and it fit well (with some slight modification). This is a great muffler that is made out of really nice stainless steel and will last a really long time. The sound is perfect, not too loud but not too quiet either but it hasn’t fully broken in yet so it will get a little louder than it is right now but it’s not a loud muffler anyway. I installed my magnaflow muffler right in place of the stock one and got an extension to connect from the muffler to the tailpipe so I have all stock pipe. It sounds really good so far and once it’s broken in it’s gonna sound even better. I’ll include a video of how it sounds on my 5.7l vortec 350 in my truck.

Magnaflow great quality and no interior drone!
Replaced FlowFx muffler case cracked after 2 months of use. Order the Magnaflow same size as other muffler. Bought some band clamps too no exhaust leaks and nice sound at start up, chill driving down the road sound. Nice aggressive sound at wide open throttle. Great replacement for anyone who doesn't want drone or too loud of an exhaust system. Running 2.5 inlet dual 2.5 outlets on 2022 Tacoma truck

Installed on a 2016 Tundra 5.7L, Exactly what I wanted
I was looking for full, duel exhaust since I bought the truck in April. I wanted something to add little more low tone and just more lively then stock but didn't wanna be "that guy" waking the neighborhood up when you drive by or start it. I also didnt see a point in spending $1000+ for a full dual system when my current was doing the job. Middle ground is buying a muffler and putting it on the stock pipes, so I did that. Great sound especially at lower speeds, could be considered slight drone in certain gears and rpm but not bad. When stepping on it combined with the Specter Cold Air intake makes the truck sound come alive. I also seeing a +1mpg currently which is interesting. No torque loss (according to my butt dyno). One review hear says its the goldey locks of mufflers. It really is. Put on a nice looking tip and called it a day. Aftermarket sound and look for $290 with install and the tip.

Great Performance, But Rusts Easily
I installed this muffler in the late summer of 2012, and went to finish up my exhaust this late winter/early spring (2013). The muffler adds a heck of a low rumble when idling, and roars when you take off from the line. Unlike Flowmaster, Magnaflow's straight through design gives you the overall package: glass pack flow for performance, but not as "tin can" sounding. Yeah, you do get the highway drone from 2000-2500 RPMS, but without the baffles that typically break up the drone, you get the better exhaust flow. My ONLY complaint has to do with how easily the outer shell of the muffler rusted. After only one winter, it has that rat-rod heavy rust patina to it. For a muffler that was sold as "stainless", I would have expected it to withstand a Michigan road salted winter at least once more before the color started to change. But, my truck is going through a process for performance, not show. Overall, great product, and the internals of the muffler are holding strong.

As usual, just the right tone!
Don't get me wrong; I like Flowmaster's products and other chambered-style mufflers. But they just seem a bit too loud for passenger cars. I removed the main resonator and 2 main mufflers on my Lexus GS400, and the drone was just too bad, so I bought this unit and put it in the place of the original front/main resonator. After that, it goes through the 2 secondary resonators and out through straight pipe. The drone now is at a low level, and sounds sweet! Magnaflow's stainless products can be spendy, but as a technician, I've driven many vehicles with their mufflers, and the sound has always been nice. Remember that the length and size of your pipes affects the amount of drone, so you don't need to blame it on the muffler.

2011 Dodge Ram Big Horn
I installed this on my Dodge Ram and I love the sound. The only annoyance with this truck + the magnaflow was when the MDS kicked in on the truck. I thought this was going to be forever, but after the burn-in period, the sound is almost completely gone. This particular magnaflow is a direct fit for the dual exhaust Ram 1500. UPDATE: I forgot to update this sooner and it's been a year now...The exhaust has been on my truck now for over 10,000 miles and the sound is amazing. The truck no longer drones when the MDS kicks in...Somehow, the burn in period helps reduce this. I have bluetooth in my truck and I've never had anyone complain about cabin noise. Keep in mind that the Ram's exhaust pipes go all the way out the back, so you will not have as much noise as if you had a turndown pipe, for example.

Being installed tomorrow...but the product itself is very well made and exactly as described!
This was exactly what I wanted. It is a straight through design, 2.5" in, dual 2" out...or as I did... dual 2" in and a single 2.5" pipe out. Good solid construction. Being installed tomorrow, so will update on how it sounds/performs then...but for the product itself...very well made. I got this for a 2004 Nissan Xterra, and used this to eliminate the god awful "Y-pipe"/"T-Pipe" that the stock design used to connect both exhaust manifolds/catalytic converters into a single muffler out the back. Post installation: Muffler installed with some custom bent piping at a muffler shop. I did notice better throttle response and that the Xterra pulls a little bit better in the mid-range. Of course, this will vary by application. The sound, however, is awesome! It is not too loud, but just a bit deeper and has a nice growl in the lower RPMs. Definitely pleased with the purchased!
