It's terrific...
This story is great! I've enjoyed it greatly. It also helps when watching the anime since the anime is in Japanese, read then watch and you can understand what's going on without having to pause the show.

The author is a genius
I have read many novels over the years, in multiple forms, and I got to say that this author had made me laugh the most out of any book I had ever read. On the other hand, the book even has some nice parental messages that glues the story well along with its other elements. The smoothness of the dialogue makes you feel as if the characters are alive. Somehow there is never a "boring" moment in the book, enough that someone like me who is too lazy to finish a book in a single day had actually finished this one very rapidly. (In fact, I was surprised that the book ended so quickly). Now I am sure many of you are worried about this "mom" figure on the story and whether her relationship with her son would reach that taboo threshold or not. But do not worry, it won't go that far, the author had also stated that he would not do so.Final words, the idea of this story is definitely something that is quite fresh and fun that I highly suggest that you give it a shot.

Probably Get Vol 2
I enjoyed the story for the most part. Adventures, shenanigans, and the like. The final act of the book hams in the message and alluded to a possible villain for the future. But, does the series need some big bad behind the curtains? The characters the book mostly follows are stereotypical in anime/manga: the normal male gamer, the loli character, the tsundere love interest (sage), and the doting, young looking, & not "up-to-the-times" mother. The loli is just a tag along because of her useful skills, no development or back story. Nothing much to say about the sage, her conflict with her mother kinda resolved at the end.The male MC was really depicted as a stick in mud in some moments and other moments where I (kinda) get where he's coming from. For the most part he gets rolled over by his mother. He didn't get any positive limelight except a little bit in the last battle. No opinion regarding the relationship between the son and mother. In the afterword, if anybody was wondering if there's incest, there's not and no plans to. But, there's ecchi moments (I think the son is about to crack).A negative for me is that the game world being too favorable for the parents. The objective of the game world was suppose to be repair/build strong bonds between parent and child. But things were going the mother's way.Sorry for my ramblings, just letting my thoughts flowing out. I do like it and hope for it to get better in the next volume.

A different isekai story
I personally love stories similar to SAO. So I bought this out of peaked interest. I was not disappointed.I have not watched the anime yet to save myself on any spoilers. The characters are very likable including Wise. Mamako is adorable and reminds me of my memories learning to play tales and other rpgs. Masato is your typical teenager. What I'm not looking forward to is if the light novel goes the route similar to Bunny drop. The rumor says it will.

Great comedy shaky ending
If your looking for some good laughs and some decent characters you've found the right book. The Characters aren't ground breaking but their well written and for the most part flow from page to page. The comedy, by in large, is pretty good. It definitely panders to fan's of anime and manga but I think most readers can imagine the pain of seeing your mother in bikini armor. The first two-thirds is definitely better than the last act. The story up to that point plays largely to its comedy/fan service but also delivers some thoughtful character conflicts between the mother and son. Overall its a three star largely because of the last act. The comedy is largely dropped and the moral of the last act felt a bit forced but after a while grew on me (Though I can see myself being a rare exception) Will I buy the next novel? Maybe? If I feel in the mood for some lighthearted laughter I might. Did I enjoy the read overall? Yep.

Would you like to go on an adventure with YOUR mom?
Reading this really reminds me of memories with my own mom. She passed a few years ago and I miss when we used to pal around and hang out together. She was DEFINITELY not Mamako but she was mine and I love her dearly.I’m in for volume 2 and the anime!!That being said, a LITTLE scale back of the incestuous scenarios would be welcome.

Really funny
I blazed thru this in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It was really sweet and funny.I don't get the negative reviews. Probably weirdos wanting this to be hentai.

A Fun Mom-Com
I personally liked this light novel. Obviously if you're sensitive to a mom being portrayed as sexy or the MC being embarrassed because his mom can be cringy (she's a mom, wasn't yours embarrassing?), then this could be hard to get through. It's actually an innocent enough LN, not nearly as suggestive as 'The Elder Sister-Like One' which has a much higher rating on Amazon. I love the artist, but some of the inside illustrations were lackluster. Overall I thought it was fun if you don't mind some over used tropes.
