Using Amsoil in my 2007 Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been a game-changer! The engine runs smoother, quieter, and feels more responsive. I do stalk/follow discussions of Teambhp.com, especially about upkeep and maintenance of vehicles where I learnt a great deal about engine oils, their blends and brands. Decided not to follow the MASS or masses blindly. So, earlier i tried AMSOIL 5W40 Heavy Duty Diesel (A3/B4 grade) for my 2013 Ertiga ZDi (current Odo 1,20,000 km). Overall I was satisfied with quality and refinement but decided to up the game and try AMSOIL 5W30 (A5/B5 grade) in view of the new advisory issued by MARUTI about latest grades of oil for their 1.3 ddis engines. Got a good deal at Rs 3500 (with Amazon discount of 250). Delivery was prompt, being prime members. Packaging was shoddy and pathetic by the supplier...oil can was pinched at places, Thank God it didn't leak. My observation after a 400km highway trip is as under:- 1. Reduced the engine note...for sure. 2. Quicker rpm build up and Turbo kicks in earlier. 3. KMPL : Wait and watch...too early to comment (Monsoon, Heavy Rains, Potholes, basically too many variables to comment on Kmpl). 4. 40,000 Km Oil Life : I don't know. I will take review of Oil Health at 10,000Km, but I'm less likely to take any chance with engine for couple of rupees. 5. I will update this review after few thousand kilometers purely for enthusiasts who love their vehicles! #Update (Nov 2018) : 8,500 km... and oil is still going strong. No noticeable drop in engine smoothness or mileage (17-21 kmpl). Viscosity appears smooth and consistent on physical inspection. I am happy with signature series and will repeat the oil in due course. #Update (Dec 2018) : 13,000 km and counting... Got the oil inspected by my FNG Mechanic. He gave his clearance for next 5,000km without batting an eyelid. No noticeable drop in engine smoothness or mileage (City-17, H'way-21 kmpl). Trading cautiously towards self set cutoff limit of 20,000km. Beyond that I WILL NOT stretch my luck, though AMSOIL claims 40,000km of drain mileage. #Update (Apr 2019) : 18,000 km and counting... Oil is still holding its lubricity, my trusted FNG Mechanic say few more thousand Kms. No noticeable drop in engine smoothness or mileage (City-17, H'way-21 kmpl). Approaching towards self set cutoff limit i.e. 20,000km. Without an iota of doubt, I am reordering 3 x small Canisters as i still have some unused oil from previous gallon pack. $: Replaced Oil filter at 14,000km simply out of concerns that oil may last 40,000 Kms but Oil filter in india is designed for 10,000km intervals only. Worth it to spend few hundred. Definately felt increased engine smoothness (or am i hallucinating...?).

The oil is excellent, grade 4 synthetic, if you use it with engine flush and liqui moly mos2 it works wonders for your car .... Only problem I have is this seller is selling really old stock like manufactured in Dec 2021 and imported in Mar 22 , still it has shelf life of 2 yrs remaining but still the stock is old, if you are planning to increase your drain interval then it's a problem

I have earlier used motul eco tec plus, mobil 0w20, liquumoly special tec AA for my jazz CVT petrol. I was happy with each of the oils I used for my car. Liquumoly was the best one. The car became smoother,, acceleration increased and it gave a smile everytime I gave throttle. My car drove for 70k kms till then. Then i used amsoil 5w30 A5/B5. Drove it for 1000 kms till now. This is at another level. I never thought, the experience i got from liquumoly could be topped, but amsoil has done that. The car now feels like a new one from a higher segment altogether. Really recommend this oil for anyone who is looking for oil change. The smoothness of the engine, the acceleration and the ease with which the engine takes power when given the throttle is outstanding. I feel, no one should miss out on the ethereal experience this oil has given to my car's drive.

May be good for diesel engines, not worth it for petrol. Price is too high for its performance. Engine has developed vibrations which it didn't have earlier. Within 5000kms I think the engine oil has degraded. Not the best performance for the price tag.

Engine feels so refined and effortless driving under high speeds.. Engine sound has reduced drastically.. One of the best oils I have used so far.

4 th January I have installed this oil after engine flush with liquid moly kms reading 47000 on my Nexon .found engine noise got down dramatically instant pick up performance found good for a small ride will update on 10000 kms after running .
