Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250 AW DSLR Camera Bag (Black)

Holds one dslr (Canon 7d), with 24-105mm L lens attached.

I loved this bag. But I found some really annoying things that might concern others too. 1) So I have a Nikon D90. A mid-range camera that is bigger than the newer mirrorless cameras. The lenses I usually carry along are. 50mm f1.4 , a 70-300 kit lens and a 16-24 wide angle lens. The camera compartment cannot fit more than 1 lens along with the camera itself. It forms 3 compartments with the velcro dividers, but one will be much smaller after fitting a lens and a camera. 2) The top compartment can fit in another one or two lenses but they might bob around because it has no velcro dividers or even a way to attach it. I wish they had at least provided that option. I can choose not to attach it and use it to store other items. 3) The sling is quite awkward. The camera compartment zipper opens only from the left. Since I am a right handed person, I would have liked it if the camera compartment opened all the way around like a clamshell. Sure, I can get use to putting my camera and taking it out from the left side, but I would prefer it to be on the right side instead. 4) The straps on this bag are not very comfortable. The bag will keep sliding below due to the weight of the camera. The only way to keep it in place is by a thinner strap that comes in from another side. I found it very weird. The fit and finish of this bag is outstanding. The way its been made is awesome, I am a big fan of lowepro bags. I would instantly pick this bag up if the above mentioned problems are addressed. I picked it up, but reluctantly I had to let go of it. Returned it. I will be picking up the backpacks AW 350 or 450 from Lowepro.

It is really a cumbersome kind of a bag and not very user friendly.

Well made slingshot bag that does the job for me. I upgraded from the 100 model, holds my DSLR along with 3 lenses. Nice quality, I had my 100 for many years and held up extremely well. It has lots of storage space and pockets for accessories. Perfect for my travel. It also has a waterproof covering in a compartment at bottom of bag that you can use in inclement weather.

I have been using the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 150AW bag for a while, the 150AW is a very convenient bag for a short trip, but now that I planned for a long trip I need a larger bag to carry some more essential items and I have chosen the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250AW for it's larger compartment on the top and at the bottom. I am very happy that Amazon shipped this bag real fast, this bag is designed the same way as the smaller 150AW except larger in size which is exactly what I need, since I don't carry extra lens the top portion of the bag is perfect for a light rain jacket, a hat, sunscreen, snacks, some basic camera accessories such as lens filters, a power bank, and some cables. When fully loaded this bag feels very light when carrying on the back, thanks to Lowepro for the nice weight distribution design, I like the hidden strap to secure the bag when ridding on the bike or running. The bag is well made and the padding provides much protection for the camera and the accessories. The camera compartment is good for mirrorless and small size DSLR, there is enough room for small lenses and accessories. The zippers are very smooth and easy to use. It has a mesh pocket on the side for the water bottle, and it has straps for a small travel tripod on the front panel. There is a couple of pouches behind the front panel for pen, key, and maps, the map pouch is not recommended for an important item such as a passport since this pouch is not secured. On the top of the camera compartment there are two small pouches behind the elastic band for SD cards, keep the SD card in their own plastic container and put it in the pouch behind the elastic band to secure it. The top compartment has a mesh pouch for small items, at the front side there is a deeper pocket for a small tablet, I wish Lowepro would put a zipper on this pocket so that it can be used for important travel documents, in the middle there is enough space to put essential items that I had mentioned above, at the bottom of the bag there is a rain cover in the hidden pocket which is very useful in downpour situation. It would be nice if Lowepro would add a secured pocket inside this bag for the important items such as a passport, include a strap to secure the water bottle and that would make this Slingshot Edge 250AW a great bag for day trips. In summary, this is a very nice bag for people who like to travel light.

First up, I'm a big fan of sling type camera bags having owned a number over the years, just find them more convenient to use than backpacks particularly if you photograph on the move (gun and run is the fashionable phrase, I believe). Being a Lowepro this one is very well made with quality materials and is very comfortable to carry. Did a full day out recently and had my Lumix G9 with the PL100-400 attached in the main compartment along with the Lumix 14-140ii lens, spare batteries and remote shutter release. The top compartment was plenty big enough for my Nikon Z6 with the 24-200 lens attached with room to spare. The outer (full length) pocket had lens microfibre cloth and a set of 67mm filters and the tripod was strapped securely to the back. No problems carrying it around all day long. On another trip when I just took the Nikon with the 24-200 in the main compartment, this left oodles of space in the top compartment for all the normal personal possessions that you carry about with you - wallet, mobile phone, face covering, monkey nuts for the local squirrels. In other words, it's a very versatile bag. Don't be fooled by it's compact dimensions, it really can hold quite a lot if you give it a bit of thought - highly recommended.

Esta es ya mi tercer mochila Lowepro y vaya que vale la pena, los materiales siempre son de muy buena calidad e incluso puedes darte cuenta con solo sentir la mochila, en cuanto a la comodidad es bastante buena aunque recomiendo buscar como saber tu "talla" de mochila y escoger el modelo adecuado para ti, yo mido 1.85 y este modelo me queda apenas a la medida a mi me hubiera gustado o siento que me quedaría mejor uno ligeramente más grande, pero aun así es bastante cómoda, en cuanto al espacio, está hecha para viajar ligero y con lo esencial y considero que aun así es capaz de llevar más que suficiente para estar todo el día afuera sacando fotos, sin embargo lo que no me agrado mucho es que mi laptop de 11 pulgadas no cabe en ningún lado, únicamente tiene espacio para tabletas, y la bolsa frontal aun cuando abarca casi el alto de la mochila la forma de la bolsa no deja entrar la computadora. Es una excelente mochila, solo recomiendo que analices muy bien para que la utilizaras y lo que quieres llevar antes de escogerla, fuera de eso estoy seguro de que estarás muy feliz con tu compra.
