Easy to set up to the dvd player I have. Works perfectly

I acquired a couple Samsung BD-F5100 Blu-ray / media players. These units are pretty much useless to stupidly worthless without the remote. I have had a few products where lose the remote and no control except to put it in the skeet thrower after tearing the house apart, or 1 chill pill and a beer, then look for a bargain like this remote. This remote was worth the risk to repair the disk transport systems on two units. Actually no risk at all as I only have a few Blu-ray disks and these could be used as basic media servers. I have one transport repaired and the other is more problematic as the main hub motor and stepping of the laser assembly is not functioning. Logic on the main board, or a bad micro ribbon, bad motor is the question. other possibilities as well, re-check if the power supply is dedicated, or shared with working logic. SO.... For about $7.00 what the heck, this remote functions like a factory one, every function a that, Plastic and button Cheezie factor = Not a single complaint here. I will buy a couple "For parts" Samsung units as organ donors or to fix. Even with a bad transport I can hang a USB external drive to it and it serves up media just fine, Not to mention Coaxial Toslink Digital audio out for input into a 7.1 DAC unit. The media server vs BD and DVD viewing was my intent anyhow for use at my cabin and another for use in one of the labs here in the house. Fast Shipping as well.

Over the years I accumulated so many remotes that I had forgotten what some of them went to and through many of them out when decluttering because I had gotten rid of items over the years. Unfortunately, one of the remotes ended up being to my DVR that I hadn't used in a while, but now wanted to use. Luckily my daughter has the same DVR and sent me a picture of her remote and Amazon carries a replacement one. Not only does it look like the original one but it works just as well. The only difference between the two is that the original came with 2 AAA batteries and this one does not. I would recommend this product.

I bought the remote to sink with my Samsung Blu-Ray player. It works perfect. However, I had an added surprise that made me happy. I have an energy sound bar and woofer. The remote control for that got damaged. But when I touched the volume-up button on this replacement remote it sinked with my sound bar. Great Value for only $6 or $7 that I paid. *** (8/5/2024 Update) After 2 plus years my remote stopped working. I ordered another one, the same product as before. And it has not missed a beat so-to-speak. Everything I wrote (above) in my initial review stays the same. This replacement remote syncs perfectly with my Samsung BluRay player. And the sound control syncs with my Energy sound bar. $7.00 every 2-3 years is a pretty fair value.
