does this smell like the shaving cream ?

No it doesn't. It has a musk type scent to it. Its the only aftershave my wife likes on my face.

Does this smell like Old Spice?

Nope...not even close. It is oil based,old school man smell from the barber shop days. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And the shaving soap smells good too.

I have read the reviews and I’m confused does the last a few hours or a couple of minutes?

It’s like a weak cologne. Strong for the first few minutes, but not much after an hour

How does this compare to the balm?

The balm is a cream and this is alcohol based. I remmcend balm for dryer skin and this if you are on the oily side.
