This bottle has survived daily use by a very active toddler and still looks almost brand new. The durability and quality of these bottles are truly impressive, making it worth every penny.As we prepared for the new school year, we decided it was time for an upgrade, especially with the introduction of some exciting new colors. My child was thrilled to pick out a fresh one, and I have to say, the new designs are vibrant and fun.However, I did notice that the newer model (purple) seems slightly smaller than our original (mint), even though both are labeled as 12oz. It’s not a deal-breaker by any means, but it’s something worth mentioning. I’ve included a picture of both bottles side by side so you can see the difference for yourself.Overall, I highly recommend the 12oz Hydro Flask for kids. This water bottle is phenomenal!! It doesn't leak, has a silicone "boot", and truly keeps drinks ice cold for at least 24 hours. There's even a spot to label it with a name on the bottom!! I absolutely adore the color (Seaspray), and at 18oz it's the perfect size for my almost 7.5 year old son. He's super excited to show off his new Hydro Flask at school!!

It’s the perfect size for my preschooler to carry around. It actually helps her drink more water, since she gets to carry around a water bottle like mine. They are easy to open with a pop up tab for carrying. There’s a “boot” or basically extra plastic, around the base of it so even when your child slams it down it doesn’t make a loud bang. I found this feature to make it well worth the price in addition to the great quality. It keeps her water icy cold throughout the whole day. It’s also easy to clean compared to other water bottles I have bought her. If you are considering a water bottle for your child I would recommend this one highly due to quality, brand reputation and the features it includes!

We bought a couple of these smaller water bottles for our 2 and 4 year old kids to take to daycare. We wanted something that would be durable enough to handle the abuse they give to their belongings and these certainly live up to our expectations. We have had the bottles for many months now and they are still in great shape. They have never leaked or stopped working. The metal bottle itself takes a beating and the rubber cover on the bottom helps prevent spilling and protects against drops. The plastic tip is also well made and is resistant to sharp young teeth that like to chew. We have used many of the plastic sippy cups and bottles over the years but the kids always seems to chew through the straws or rubber tips making them useless. You can buy this bottle once or the cheaper ones several times over. We are expecting our third child and will be purchasing another one of these bottles when the time comes.The only complaint I have is with the straws themselves (internal to the bottle). They tend to crack and split at the point where they connect to the top. So far the functionality hasn't been affected but I would foresee us needing to replace the straws as the first point of failure.
