Dakine Women's Brooke Messenger Bag with Padded Laptop Sleeve

I wanted a bag that looked professional, semi-casual, and could accommodate several books, folders, notebooks, and a laptop on occasion. This bag works perfectly to meet my needs. Inside the cover flap are two zippered compartments. One is padded to protect a small to medium sized laptop, but it could also be used for books and folders. The other compartment is divided lengthwise into two smaller compartments. On the inside of this smaller divider are slots to slip pens and pencils, including spaces large enough to fit thick dry erase markers and highlighters. Also on the side of this smaller, inside divider is a mesh, zippered pouch for loose items. Other reviewers of this product thought the bag seemed bulky like luggage. I disagree. It is a little bulky when overloaded with heavy books or a laptop, but pretty lightweight otherwise. The pads inside to protect a laptop may make it slightly bulkier than other messenger bags that aren't designed for this purpose, but it's not overly padded. The shoulder pad is nice and makes carrying heavy loads comfortable. The material inside and out appears to be quite durable. The interior of the bag is dark green. The exterior has a nice pattern and looks like it won't show dirt very easily. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and expect to use this bag for many years.

The last bag I got was for my new latptop and the ad made you think you were going to get a bag that could hold your laptop plus a couple books. This bag is definitely what I was looking for. It is pretty big. It is definitely more of a school/laptop bag than a purse as it is large but its perfect. It has the pain padded pocket for laptop plus 1 thick text book. Then a front pocket with the organizational space (multiple smaller pockets, pencil holders, place for cell phone, a mesh pocket) a large hidden pocket and then you still put a binder in that pocket if you want. The only downside is it is a little heavy and my shoulders and back get a little messed up after school days so I do think I may get a rolling bag to slide this one onto (because it has a slit in the back so you can secure it to a rolling bag.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas and it works well for her since she can carry her laptop and other items. She often uses it as an overnight bag to go to her Grandmas for the weekend. holds her clothes and laptop well. She loves the pattern and overall quality of the product. I would not hesitate to recommend or order again!

Very attractive bag; roomy with plenty of pockets for organization. The lining is a surprisingly pleasing lime green color. The exterior material is sturdy; however I'm not crazy about the texture. It's made from recycled plastic water bottles. It feels and even smells a little cheap...but on the plus side, it's holding up very well, and I tend to "abuse" my bag. Overall, very pleased and would recommend.

Colors are not as vivid as they appear online.

I wanted to love this... it's well made and solid, but it looks like a mix between luggage and a diaper bag. I was looking for something that I could use for work that looked a little more feminine, but this wasn't the one. Quality bag, nice pattern, just not for me.

I like this bag a lot, it holds a great deal of stuff, has lots of little pockets for pens and things and it's good for traveling. I use it as my carry-on and can fill it with with more than just work stuff and my computer. I also like that it has the band in the back so I can slide it over my suitcase handle when I'm walking through airports and give my back a rest (because I carry too much!). However, the clasp in the front broke on the first use. Because it has zippers, everything is closed in, so I stuck some velcro on to keep the flap closed and it's still functional.

Love = Love - Love this bag. Light weight, carries well - it was so nice to finally find a laptop bag that doesn't weight more than the laptop. Large pocked to carry all my stuff and a nicely padded pocket for the laptop. I carry a 15 inch but think it would hold a 17 as well.

Da ich schon gute Erfahrungen mit Dakine Rucksäcken gemacht habe, dachte ich mir, dass ich meine Umhängetasche auch von Dakine kaufe. Ich benutze ihn für die Uni, deshalb finde ich das gepolsterte Laptopfach sehr praktisch. Mein 14'' Laptop passt ohne Probleme rein. Das Fach vorne ist geräumig (Frühstück, Federtasche etc passt alles rein) und man kann seine Sachen ganz gut sortieren. Zum Tragen ist die Tasche auch angenehm.Das Paket kam schnell an, ich bin insgesamt wirklich zufrieden :)

Die Tasche ist sehr praktisch und total robust! Hat jetzt schon ein paar Belastungstests überstanden und mein Laptop passt perfekt in das separate Fach!

Die Tasche ist wirklich von guter Qualität und es geht auch jede Menge rein. Schade finde ich nur das sie nicht zusätzlich noch einen kurzen Tragegriff hat.
