My mom says that it makes it so much easier to shower with a tracheotomy when you have this. They are perfect!!

These work great to cover your trach but I am not certain if they block air or not, as my trach is supposed to be temporary. I wear mine all the time. In the shower, if you spray up, water can get into your stoma, and that is awful, so be careful. For walking around they do a great job, maybe too good, of concealing the trach. People have accidently patted my chest hitting my trach. Not cool. My story: In my case I had childhood cancer which compromised my immune system, left me with chronically low iron, and both vocal cords paralyzed, but paralyzed in such a way that I can speak normally and even sing (when I don't have the trach). I do have a narrow airway, so when I had a colonoscopy the anesthesiologist cut me during surgery when he intubated me on June 12 of this year. I woke up spitting up blood. I had inhaled blood during the procedure when led to E. Coli Pneumonia. I didn't know what was wrong and went to my PCP who gave me antibiotics. They did nothing for my rare pneumonia and on June 28th my lung collapsed leaving me with no vital signs and eyes fixed and dilated. Wife happened to walk in and called EMT. They're just blocks from where we live and got me to the hospital super fast. The doctor said if my wife had gotten to me 5 minutes later I would have died. 15 grueling days in the hospital later I got out (July 13 2024) and bought this. Then I bought another, as they're like socks, to me. As I write you, my size 4 trach is completely blocked and oxygen is a solid 98% (no matter if I leave it open or closed) but it dips down to 94% when I sleep and 97-100% when I walk around. Two days ago I saw the doctor who saved my life and he wants to keep the trach in case something like that were to happen again. Like wearing a helmet everywhere you go, or a tightrope walker using a security net. I'm not yet sure what my ENT will say but these make it so that I can shower, and no one notices I have a trach, so I give them 5 stars. They're also very comfortable and I like to wear black, so they blend.

A great alternative to the hard medical bib given as it doesn't fit properly therefore leaks water into stoma. These bibs fit properly and work. a ++++

Funcionan bien para usar cuando me rasuro. En la ducha no me acomodé.
