Brought it twice - Brought so many tawa but nothing matching with Quality of Hawkins Futura tawa , the best thing about The Quality and the layer of coating , lets go one by one (do look at the pictures ) The Best thing about it :- 1) 2 years of warranty it self says the trust that manufacturer having it on the product 2) Don't confuse with 6.0 mm steel handle , its a heat resistant so it so wont het hot 3)The Quality of Hard Anodised surface last longer then and thicker , far far better then Quality of Prestige manufacture ® Tawa 4)Work great and get hotter in low and medium heat 5)Grade of AISI 430 Grade Magnetic stainless steel disc embodied with body which cover entire Induction base 6)Very Quickly Defuses heat fast and evenly so you can wash it very fast 7)The grade of Aluminium is very high grade far far better then other competitor make in india , its is 1.6 kgs Concern 1)ou need to use only and only wooden spatula one which come free with product is not that good 2)wash separately with soft sponge don’t use any other hard brush By over all its just superb product brought twice , please please avoid buying Prestige manufacture ® Tawa it you are thinking about long life of product just go for Hawkins Futura tawa ®

The Tawa is great. Been using it for months. The only problem i face is it's slightly upward curved at centre, so while frying the oil slips sideways. But it isn't much of a issue and loving this product.

EVEN HEATING We've enjoyed tender and scrumptious pancakes and poodas owing to the even heating arising out of being anodised with a thick 4.88mm gauge. Much better than previous tawas. STURDY HANDLE The 'stay-cool handle' - as the company calls it - lives up to its name. It's strongly riveted to the body and remains cool throughout. SUPERIOR INDUCTION BASE DIAMETER Hawkins justify the price by providing induction bottom with diameter almost equalling the tawa's. Cheaper brands try to cut corners by incorporating induction bottoms with minimal diametric coverage. DURABILITY It comes with quality, German coating. With a little precaution, this tawa can do you years of service. I'd recommend using Rena silicon spatulas that are far more durable and tender on the tawa than their wooden counterparts. FREEBIES Hawkins have been thoughtful to throw in a complimentary cookbook along with a wooden spatula and a nylon scrubber. VERDICT, WITH A WORD ABOUT THE COMPETITION This is more like a one time investment. You will surely be tempted by the likes of Prestige, Solimo, Pigeon, etc with a lower price tag. While they're all good brands, but having owned all three over different periods of time, I can, with faith, vouch for the superiority of this tawa. If there's a downside to it, I'd say that being a large 30cm tawa, the far ends remain a few degrees cooler than the main surface. But for the larger part, your food will barely spread out to the broad 30mm boundary. Happy cooking!

It's an amazing tawa... Thick base, induction and gas friendly, very easy to clean due to its non stick base...most importantly base does not let burn the dosa/utthapam on it👍❤️

Good product

Takes more time to heat up, but once hot it works well. If planning to use on induction stove, better to go for lower diameter tawa

The thava is very thick and good, but the handle is not designed such away that the extra weight of the pan can be handled easily. Should have provided some extra covering to match the pan weight. This is required especially you do the trick of flipping the food item without using a spoon.

Best for thin tissue like dosas like Neer dosa, rava dosa where the batter is of watery consistency. Also works great for besan chillas. (Have the smaller Futura pan for pancakes and dry roasting peanuts and spices) Prefer cast iron for urad-rice dosas. But if you are looking for non stick, your search can end here. Have used heavily for over an year now and the non stick coating is intact. Gifted one to a friend recently

Love the pan so far. I use only for Indian dosas and love it. Yes you to take good care of the non stick by following the instructions.

This griddle is very good and it can be use for shallow frying, prathans, chapati, pan cakes etc......price wise it is reasonable here then stores......

It can't handle high heats too well,

This tava dos not work on induction cooktops. I bought the 30cm model to replace my eight year old 26 cm model that was losing its non-stick properties. The old one worked great from day one. The new one does not heat up on the same induction cooktop even if I set to higher heat and wait. I will either return it or use only on gas grill outdoors. DO NOT BUY THIS TAVA FOR USE ON INDUCTION COOKTOPS.
