Excellent product!
I must say that these exceeded my expectations considerably. I’ve never used clay balls as slingshot ammo before, and decided to give these a try on a whim. I’m very glad that I did!Frankly, I was expecting a crude product, and assumed that there would be a fair number of broken or crumbled balls. Not so at all. My first observation was that these were 100% intact, followed by noticing that the size and shape are extremely consistent. But how would they shoot? Well, the answer to that is the balls are really quite accurate, and as I had hoped, completely solve the problem of ricocheting shots when fired against a hard surface.Having written that, I am compelled to add that in general it is a far better idea to use a traditional slingshot target catch box to prevent bounce back, but I wanted these balls to use in roving afield on targets of opportunity. I cannot say how these would do on small game, but my impression is that you would be better served by using ball bearings to insure clean kills. My only reservations are twofold. First, after using the balls a bit I noticed a very slight discoloring on my fingertips. I guess that is to be expected, these are simple clay balls after all, but not knowing the exact composition makes me want to recommend that you avoid touching your eyes or mouth during use, and wash your hands ASAP after use. Second, I find these fairly economical, but my parsimonious side wishes there were more in the package for the same price. Since I am a notorious sort for finding faults in products, these are to be considered minor complaints and my overall experience is quite satisfactory.

Great for beginners and practice
I'm a newbie to decent slingshots, and wanted inexpensive ammo that I could churn through in practice. These are great - inexpensive and degradable - so I don't care if they litter my yard; they'll be gone in a matter of time. They are somewhat light and don't have the punch of steel balls, especially at distance, but seem quite accurate. Pestiferous critters (as Barney Buckett calls 'em) are a problem here too, so I was looking for an alternative to a gun. These might just do the trick once I improve my accuracy, and steel might not be necessary. Oh, and be sure your pouch of ammo stays dry; they can get a little sticky when it's damp outside. Solid product, though.

Solid product! Great value for your money.
I have purchased this item 7 times so far and was just about to make another purchase when, to my disappointment, they were out of stock. I like them not only for the great price, but because so far I have only been disappointed once. The sizes have been very uniform and the glaze on them not only makes them harder, but also makes them more accurate. The only bad experience I had was when I received a batch that was not glazed and because of that, it really had a strong clay smell when I opened the package. I always try to make it a point to have an extra batch as reserve. So when I open the reserve, I go online and place an order again. Definitely a product I would highly recommend.

Nice solid product!
Bought for my slingshot, to scare away the squrrels from my bird feeders. It's a fun, non lethal, way to scoot them outta there! Even more fun when I actually bump one in the butt! LOL

Excellent quality...
Really pleased with these. They are a med. dark brown - like tiny malted milk balls. Using sample weighing I estimate a quantity at ~1,580. Only 1 broken. They do arrive in a plastic bag, but they were very humid, the inside of the bag was wet. Not knowing the impact of their moisture content I dried them in a low oven for a few hours. Size is fairly uniform, as is roundness. I estimate that ~95% would be considered to be "round", the others either have a minor flat spot or are a little oblong. They fly very true out of a sling shot. Average weight is 14 gr. +/- 1 gr. My next step is to gauge them for diameter to see if they will work in a .40 blow gun. Overall far exceeded expectations.

Good ammo, but ...
Don't expect it to shatter on impact. Ricochets and bounce back are a real and potentially hazardous reality. The real bonus I see is the biodegradability. It might take months to dissolve, but it will dissolve before a steel ball can rust away. The clay balls are also surprisingly accurate over moderate distances, 50 to 75 feet. I actually don't mind the impact durability, as safety rules should apply as with any projectile weapon. Additionally, I cannot imagine shooting at a pest animal with its well-being as a priority. My priority is get them the heck out of my garden. A racoon or squirrels and other rodents have plenty to eat out in the woods without infringing upon the benefit of my own hard work and attention. Just don't shoot the neighbor's dog or cat. It likely won't kill them, but it's gonna leave a mark.

Great value
I purchased the box of 1500 to see if they were a decent value, and they certainly are. I have shot several hundred now, and have had no experience with balls coming apart in the slingshot like I have seen in other brand reviews. Complaints of these being overly small are definitely not accurate. I measured a good sampling of these and found them to range between .363 to .390 of an inch which is pretty darn close to .375 for a 3/8 ball. Exceptional tolerance for a ball of clay in my opinion. They do not leave residue on your fingers, and are reusable if they hit something soft. A bit safer to use around things you don't want to break, I bounced several off a beer bottle with no damage to it. I then shot the bottle with a steelie just to see what would happen, it shattered nicely when hit with that. Did I mention the cost? Save your steel for hunting or competition, buy the 3000 for $20 and shoot all day for around 1/2 cent per shot at any target that comes to mind. That's what I will be doing from now on, wishing I'd purchased that size package first, but I had to try it out. If they get wet they go soft really quickly, so I think the biodegradable claim is totally correct. They are accurate and go a long way, I easily hit a 12 x 12 rock in my landscape from 25 yards. I will be purchasing again (and again), although only in the package of 3,000. It will cost more for bands though, because you can shoot so affordably you'll be wearing them out more frequently.
