Hot water heater went out this spring while I had a badly broken foot. I tried soldering the joints and managed all but the joint between the 3/4" copper and the brass valve. I ordered this integral SharkBite connector and was amazed at just how easy and effective the connector/valve was to install and use. Not a single drop of water leaked upon installation nor since. Fantastic product and arrived at my door two days after I ordered it. Thanks to SharkBite for and exceptional product and thanks to Amazon for making it so easy to obtain it while I was unable to move normally.

I've made several compression joints and never had a problem. But for this job i needed to cut the line to add a shutoff valve and then remake the connection all in a short distance. Having the valve and a push to connect fitting all in one piece that was the same length as the original hose greatly simplified the installation. And nothing leaked so I'm happy.

Overall, great product. It really helped not having to buy the fittings, and the PEX tools to connect all fittings. Saved me time and money. The hoses were a little on the stiff side. This causes a kink if you push whatever you are connecting too close to the fittings. Not a deal breaker, but I had to keep my water softener a bit further from the wall to keep this from happening. Definitely recommend this product.

My daughter and son-in-law just bought a house and the hot water heater did not have its own shutoff valve and we needed with work on it. This came handy after I cut off the main water supply to the house, cut the 3/4” copper water supply line and installed this in a matter of minutes. Super easy to use and install.

This product works very well and installs in seconds. The PEX side is a push fit, so it's idiot proof. Having the shut off is a great idea that may prevent an insurance claim. My only objection is the cost. Still, if your water heater is leaking water at 3:00 A.M., this gem is priceless. It is also a great option for the homeowner with only one repair to make.

Super easy to install. I had to remove the connection to the water heater after installation and was worried that the rotation might mess with the grip on the other side (to the copper pipe). It did rotate a bit, but no leaks after re-installing! Highly recommend, but I only installed this on the cold water inlet due to the negative reviews about black flakes coming off the hot side.

i wanted the ability to turn the water off at the point of use.super easy to use, well worth the money. i did not try to remove it since i had no need to, but it looks easy enough.
