Great starter telescope!
This is a great telescope for beginners. It comes with everything you need to get started, as well as a bunch of accessories that would normally need to get purchased separately. I love that this comes with a cell phone adapter, a remote shutter release for your phone, and even a carrying case. The telescope is small enough to take with you on a hike, and the included eye pieces are powerful enough for some great nighttime shots. Really happy with the purchase, and would definitely recommend for beginners. I'm comfortable letting my kids and friends use this without constant supervision, and I hope it will instill a love of astronomy and astrophotography in them.

Child loves it. Nice quality.
It is a good telescope for beginners. I can easily and clearly see the moon and it’s craters however it is hard to see the planets and it might not be the telescope it could just be weather conditions. However I have only had this telescope for a week now so it’s hard to be a critic on this item. However it is a good telescope and my child loves it.

Lefty or righty and hight
I was happy to receive this device by Maxlapter. It was easy to set up but then i noticed some things. The finder ( small scope) is on the side I would not use to look into it. Like looking at a rifle sight. Which eye would you use L/R? Also make sure you are on solid level ground or you'll have a hard time staying focused on what you are viewing. Lastly if you have a hard time bending ( like I do ) you might need a higher tripod. I enjoy viewing stars so if the scope is pointed up you have to sit in a chair ( baby chair ) to look up through the scope. Other then that the craftsmen ship is very good including the tripod. All the extras really make an exciting hobby.

I wanted to watch the lunar eclipse and did.
At first I was able to watch the rising moon before the eclipse. Then the moon rose too high to get the tripod angle needed to watch the rest. I had trouble with the phone adapter, it seemed as though the buttons on the phone are in the wrong place. The phone kept taking pictures during the installation of the phone. I switched over to my SLR camera to get some decent photos. I will continue to try the phone adapter. I still want some good photos of the moon.

Cool
My granddaughter loves it. They live in rural area with few city lights. She sets it up and can do a lot of star gazing and find other things in the sky that she wants to find.

Sorry I made this purchase
As soon as I set up the tripod one of the legs broke. The cell phone attachment doesn’t stay in place. I can see the moon just as well with my Canon camera and I wasn’t able to see anything else besides the moon. The scope wouldn't line up. The lenses barely fit (I had to force them). The telescope is nothing more than a plastic tube with a plastic lens. This may be great for some kid who just wants to see the moon. But for a beginner adult, I would suggest spending a little extra and getting a better quality scope. I paid $99 for this thing and it was maybe worth $25 at the most. This is something I would expect to see in the toy section at Walmart. I will be returning this tomorrow.
