I wanted a paraffin machine at home similar to the ones in my therapists clinic where I receive treatment for fractured hand.. I wanted to pay around $125 but the reviews sold me. Now that Ruth has personally written me several times answering every question, I am happy to say the extra money was worth it. What I failed to understand is how hot they truly do get. A cheap unit could easily malfunction and scald your hand if something went wrong. This machine is foolproof. You know exactly what temperature you are achieving every second the machine is on. The quality couldn’t be better. I choose my heat setting, the wax melts quickly enough, and I am safely using the awesome lavender paraffin throughout the day to completely eradicate discomfort during home therapy sessions. I’d be lost without this machine. The added benefit of softening toughened cuticles-is amazing. My hands feel so soft and cozy as arthritic pain vanishes. There are other less expensive options but why put yourself at risk if a malfunction were to happen. Ruth tenaciously and patiently makes herself available via immediate texting to answer every conceivable question and I will love my machine long after my hand recovers. The machine cannot possibly be better in terms of construction, durability, ease of use, or products included like the fabulous aromatherapy paraffin, thermal gloves, and plastic liners. I enthusiastically recommend it without the slightest hesitation. It is wonderful.

Have used Ella Bella for over two weeks once or twice a day. It’s such a great therapy treatment and relief for my arthritic hands to bathe in the hot paraffin after a cold wrap. It’s just like what I get at my occupation therapy appointment. This machine is very easy to use. Plug it in, tap the power button, then the + temperature button to 158°, then hold power button for 3 seconds, followed by + timer to 35 min. (don’t press anything else!). It starts heating up. The four bags of wax will melt together and can stay in the unit for the next time. When the wax is melted, tap the - button to 127. When the temperature reaches 127 the unit will beep. Wash hands, then place the bottom tray in the hot wax tub and dip hand/foot in 10 times. Slip hand in the provided plastic glove and then the outer white mit. Immediately (so you don’t forget) unplug the unit and take out the bottom tray; set aside for next time. Finally, sit back and enjoy the soothing lavender scented warmth. All the instructions and everything you need are included. I found a longer plastic bag to put over the finger plastic bag so it would cover the wax below my wrist. Ruth responded immediately to a couple questions I had about the Ella Bella so I rate this product and service with 5 stars! For me it’s worth the cost.

I purchased a paraffin wax machine because my doctor said it would help with the arthritis pain in my hands. I researched machines and decided to purchase the Ella Bella brand and I am very happy that I did. I have used it many times and I am pleased with my purchase. This product is VERY easy to use. A lighted touch control appears when you plug in the unit. With it you can set the temperature and set a timer if you want. You set the temperature and wait for the wax to melt, it melts quickly compared to other units. After melting, you can adjust the temperature to what is comfortable for your skin. The display shows a real time temperature progression as it raises and lowers. The wax that comes with the machine is smooth melting, comes off skin easily and as a bonus leaves my skin very soft. Everything that you need comes with the unit, ie the wax, plastic disposable gloves for your hands and booties for your feet, over gloves and booties to hold the heat in, and a brush to apply paraffin wax to other body areas (knees, shoulders, back, etc) that could use some soothing but are too big to dip into the machine, etc. One of the main reasons I chose this unit was the reviews of the excellent customer service. I didn’t expect to need it. But I did and I can report that customer support is outstanding! I had a question about the unit called the number and spoke to Ruth. The response was quick, courteous, and Ruth bent over backwards to be helpful. That in itself is a reason to chose this machine over others - it is refreshing to find a company that stands behind its product and actually cares about its customers! That was the machine, as far as paraffin wax in general for my hands, actually I was not expecting much relief and was prepared to just use it for relaxation. However, I am surprised how well it works to soothe my hands. I am a prolific knitter and using this several times a week (at least so far) has really helped. I apologize for the length of the review, but I think a good product deserves a thorough review. I hope it helps someone.

I just recently purchased this parafin wax machine and am very pleased with it. The machine itself is compact and a nice clean design and works exactly as expected - such a great treatment for tired gardeners hands. This is the second parafin wax machine I have purchased and the Ella Bella product is far superior in quality to the other one I had.
