Top notch sound.
Amazing product, amazing sound, added the surround speakers and it improved the experience exponentially. The subwoofer is way too expensive. For now I'll do without. The bass is more than adequate.I may add the woofer in time, hopefully the price will drop.I'm have problems getting Alexa to connect to my TV. Don't think it's quite ready yet.My fears about lack of Dolby Athmos has gone, the sound is amazing. I have the surround speakers at 45 degrees, sound bouncing great.Definitely calibrate with the head set and for the 5 step, get as far as possible from the sound bar as possible within your room.

Simply Amazing Sound Quality - Buy this Setup!
I Never Leave reviews , but sitting here listening to my Bose 700 Soundbar with the Bose Surround Speakers 700 and Bose 700 Base Module I just have to post to say how fantastic this is, it’s not cheap, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed, it is simply amazing! It brings a whole new dimension to movies as you are immersed in sound, the sound quality is simply awesome. Even listening to music through Tidal immerses you in a sound which I’ve yet to match. I have Klipsch, Naim Audio, Sonos and Apple speakers around the house but the Bose setup just blows my mind every time and brings a smile to my face every time and takes me to a very relaxing place when chilling with tunes.Just buy this setup, you will never regret it!!

Great Soundbar.
Sadly I had to return it. But I’ll still gladly give it the full 5 stars. Just wasn’t right for us and our living room setup. The glossy top doesn’t do this soundbar any favours as it reflects the light of your TV. But in saying that it’s a Bose and it truly is a great piece of kit. I now think the Bose 500 might be one that’s more suitable for us. I’d still highly recommend this soundbar regardless. As always a great service from Amazon.

Easy to set up
Added this to our TV as we have a large lounge and the TV sound quality was poor but the picture is good. This has made all the difference and the sound quality is excellent.

Quality product !
I installed the soundbar 700 and subwoofer 500 in the bedroom underneath a 46 inch tv and its hardly noticable, which is a massive plus for this equipment ! So no large book shelf speakers, no large sound bar obscuring the bottom of my tv and no large sub woofer the size of a laundry basket hogging a corner and no amplifier. None of that !I have a sleek, small, good looking, well engineered : 1. Virtual surround sound cinema speaker with great dialog ability, not so great "all around the room effects", big booming bass that can fill the whole room 2. Voice control Alexa - an all the features that provides. 3. A Hi Fi system that rivals dedicated seperates and floor standing speakers. And all for a reasonalbe price of around 1200 pounds. Its not a master of audiphile hi fi, or the best 5.1 surround sound system, but it does do things well and doesnt upset the Mrs with the bedroom being turned into a tech filled man cave.

What a crushing disappointment
I have been a fan of Bose since buying one of their cd clock radios about 20 years ago. A bit expensive but worth it for the quality. So when I finally decided to go for a sound bar to go with my 55" LG OLED tv, it seemed a natural choice. Reviews were great too (though I have learned to be a bit skeptical of those!)As others have noted, all the 20 page instruction booklet says, in many languages, is download the app and follow the instructions. OK. Did so. What a poor app. Kept crashing. Didn't warn up front that you have to wait for the sound bar to update its firmware before it can connect (leaving me to spend ages switching both the app and the bar off and on to try and reboot and get it working.Just as I gave up it somehow connected. Now for set up. It wanted me to input my devices. Fine, that worked for the telly, though the app just hung after I had finished inputting. What about my Amazon TV. No way, it would not recognise that within the app at all. Ok so how about my NowTV box. Not even a category for that which I could input. I gave up. Looks like it's just going to support the tv then.Still it has got alexa, that's something. Inputted my amazon account details. Let's see if it works. "Alexa, what time is it" "I don't think I know that one". So it seems the microphone array is nowhere near as good as amazon's own products at a fraction of the size and price. So then I decided to play some music from my amazon music app via the bose app. It worked. The music played, but (and this is the worst of all) what poor quality sound. Not even as good as the tv sound in my opinion. Nor my pure radio.Maybe its just a problem with the signal, I thought. So let's see what its like with the tv. Now how do I switch to tv mode? Believe it or not I could not find a button within the app to do that. I looked through all the settings and screens and there does not appear to be a "source" button in evidence anywhere. I kid you not.I did get it to play tv sound by switching both devices off and back on again, but as before the sound was woeful. Even on 100 in the app the volume was limited and quality no better than the tv's own speakers. Did I really pay £800 for this?Thank goodness for the distance selling regulations, that's all I can say. I hate returning stuff but these folks do not deserve my money.

Good sound quality. A pricy but of kit
Sound quality seems good, but I'm no expert.I got mine because I wanted the Bluetooth functionality. I'm getting a projector, which will be located on one side of the room, but the soundbar will be on the other, about 4m away. A Bluetooth transmitter (TaoTronic) plugged into the projector via optic link will transmit to the Bose soundbar.Personally I don't think there are sufficient instructions supplied with the soundbar, and the online or in-app help and support pages are not very useful IMHO.Alexa works ok but some people have had problems. I think this might arise if an Ethernet cable is plugged in as well as WiFi connected at the same time. Alexa went away for some time and it took ages for me to sort out how to get her back. I don't know why this happened. The help pages were useless.
