Base coat.

It’s easy to apply, it’s quite thin so goes on well. It covers the imperfections on my nails, so nail polish goes on smoothly. The bottle seems to last for ages!

This is a base coat - it’s not a clear nail polish (clarifying as some reviewers seem to think it’s really thin). It dries matt and very quickly making it the perfect base for applying your main colour and then top coat. Really reduces staining nails from darker colours.

I like that this base coat has a matt finish rather than shiny and a couple of coats is sufficient to make nails look manicured.Subsequent coats will gradually give an opaque, white finishAlso great for a base for water based polishes, that can be peeled off after a couple of days wear.Recommended

I have really ridged nails and until now found it hard to find a base coat that does what is claims to, this really does give a lovely smooth base. I apply 2 coats, then follow with 2 coats of nail polish and they look like gels. Amazing

Was expecting something better from this brand. Acts as an okay base coat but didn’t notice much difference with ridges. Easy to apply and dries quickly.

A firm favourite of mine for quite a while now, really does fill in the ridges & leaves a smooth perfect base for your polish. I particularly like that the coverage it’s self is like a perfect very natural nail colour with no imperfections. I find using two coats of this works best. I top with the another Essie nail product / colour called‘ mademoiselle ‘ then I have perfect natural nails for work. I highly recommend this product. Doesn’t chip easy & makes my nail polish last longer.

After decades of using acrylic my nails were weak and badly ridged. Lots of oil gave them strength but the ridges were terrible. Having read reviews I thought I’d give this a go. I found that two coats almost completely smoothed them out. With two coats of nail polish on top they look almost perfect.
