can't believe they actually work
I'm very lucky i have good genes - i'm in my mid 30s without a wrinkle. Except from the grand canyon between my eyes that makes me look angry all the time that appeared a few years ago when i was going through a very stressful season of life, working in an office getting eye strain from the computer, getting an eye injury that took 2 years to heal so walking round like a pirate, and being a stomach sleeper. My 11 isn't so much a wrinkle - is more of a dent that starts at the top of my nose and goes half way up my forehead as though i've slept with my face resting on the edge of a bookshelf. If i run my finger over the space between my eyes it feels like i'm going over the bumps of the letter M with a large lump on the left from my facial muscle. I don't care about aging i just don't particularly like having resting rage face and the idea of botox freaks me out and it's expensive. My theory is if i can use something relatively inexpensive and non-invasive like this to help get myself out of bad habits now like sleeping on my stomach and frowning in concentration or , I won't need drastic measures later on. Application: It took me a couple of attempts to get it to stick as i assumed it was going to be like a nose strip when actually less is more. However the long edges peel up a bit. whether this is my face shape or lack of technique or what i don't know but i just stuck them down with a little medical tape so it wouldn't catch on my pillow and tear off in the night. They stink. Other commenters have said they don't smell and I think they must have blocked noses or something because once wet they smell like a peculiar mix of euthymol toothpaste, wet dog and cat piss. Once it dries it's fine but if you get the adhesive on your hands the smell lingers for a couple of hours. Wearing: I only used one triangle rather than the 2 recommended because i have a small face and that seemed excessive. the splint is effective. I couldn't frown. I put it on early evening to see if i could catch myself frowning as maybe it's a sign i need to wear glasses more often. My forehead felt weird. As though it didn't know what to do with itself if it couldn't frown. By the time i got to bed i didn't even notice it was still on Result: instructions say to wet it but i have super oily skin so it peeled off without water quite easily. If the light shines from a certain angle i can still see a little dent but i wasn't expecting complete miracles from one use but this is pretty close to a miracle. If i run my finger across my brow it's now flat. i didn't know that was actually possible i thought that was just my face but it seems some major muscle relaxing happened overnight. I think we're on a winner.

Weird - but also rather wonderful
It's difficult to know where to start with reviewing these things. I've tried any number of eye pads/patches/treatments, etc which are supposed to minimise lines. The good news is that Frownies are miles cheaper than anything else I've seen, and once I received them, it was easy to understand why. Imagine tearing off a bit of the adhesive flap from a brown envelop, wetting it and sticking it on your face you'll get the general idea... Sophisticated these things are not. They come on a strip, with perforations, and you just tear off the bits you want (don't bother buying the different ones for eyes/forehead, they are basically exactly the same and either with do for which ever area you want). The idea is that they remove wrinkles by mechanically smoothing the skin and holding it smooth (ie, you have to stretch out the lines before you stick them on). They recommend using a special spray to dampen them, but I used tap water, which works fine. You will feel like a right idiot with them stuck all over your face and they are not very comfortable. They recommend you sleep with them on (I would suggest a time when the rest of your family is away, if you ever want to live down the ridicule), or a minimum period of 3 hours. I managed only two hours, as I found them so uncomfortable and, to be honest, was so sceptical they would do anything, decided to give up. They are not particularly easy to get off - you are meant to soak them, which I didn't do enough, so it was more like ripping off a plaster (as a bonus, you won't have to worry any more about that mono brow after you've used 'em) but - and this came as a great surprise - they really, really worked........I cannot remember the last time the skin around my eyes was so smooth and line free. Seriously. I have only literally just done the treatment, so cannot vouch for how long the effect lasts, but on this showing, I would definitely give them another go and even try to leave them on for a whole night next time. I am stunned and impressed in equal measure.

Can cause contact irritation - not hypoallergenic
These do work. I have quite deep frown lines in-between my eyes and I frown a lot when I sleep. Using Frownies definitely restricted the ability to frown and so stopped the muscles from working during sleep. I woke up with far less indentation on my forehead. Unfortunately I can not use them any longer. I found I was suddenly, after a month or so of use, I stated to get a dry, lumpy red rash from the adhesive used on the patches, so no more use for me. Even after a few weeks break, once the rash had cleared up, returning to using the patches lead to more irritation. It is such a shame as Frownies are such an easy and effective way to help prevent frown lines. I reused patches 2 to 3 times which seemed to work well.

Decent product
Liked the product, easy to apply. Did not notice any smell mentioned in other comments. Had a bit of a difficulty with removing it in the morning - however with a decent amount of soaking it was quite easy at the end.

These patches really are solid. don't peel off and really do not move once stuck on. ive noticed a slight difference in a short time of using them so if you are looking at using them for wrinkles then I would say definitely give these a go! however, I used these initially to see if they would reduce my tension in my forehead as I have chronic migraines and they def help with that too! only thing I dont like is the smell they have once they are wet. it can be a little overwhelming at first but you get use to it.

Is it as good as Botox? No! But for my 11’s it works. I recently developed terrible “dry eyes” and stopped using Botox on my 11’s bc it reduces the blinking which worsened my dry eyes. (I’d wake up with Red eyes, not clear ones). This has saved me from waking up to heavy duty 11”s imprinted on my forehead. At night after I apply all my skin care, I blot my 11’s to remove any access skin care, and slightly wet a Frownie triangle and then glue it on firmly. It stays on all night (if I don’t add too much or too little water). And in the morning I have no 11s.! When I don’t do it I have the 11’s indentations. Yes it does have a glue type of smell, but I don’t care because it takes care of my wrinkles. I’ve read that some people use it during the day to retrain the forehead muscles not to frown so they don’t get those wrinkles. I may try that next. I have noticed that when I put it on earlier in the night and I watch TV I don’t move my forehead as much when they’re on because it constricts that area. Do I think they’re worth the money? Well yes if I don’t have to pay for my Botox anymore. But obviously , it’s not as easy as going to get the shots every three months. And it is a commitment so you just have to make it easy for yourself and have them right there next to your skin care. All in all, I definitely think they’re worth it. And if you’re using Botox and want to save money, I would use the Frownies in between sessions. I remember Rene Russo once said she owed her youthful looks to Frownies.

I recently tried Frownies Facial Patches for Forehead, and I am pleasantly surprised by the results! These patches are easy to apply, and they stay in place throughout the night. The shape and adhesive quality are perfect for smoothing out forehead lines and wrinkles. After using them for several nights, I noticed a significant improvement in the appearance of my fine lines — they seem to have softened, and my skin looks smoother. What I appreciate most is that the patches are gentle on my skin, leaving no irritation or redness, even after wearing them for hours. The natural ingredients are a huge bonus for me, as I prefer products without harsh chemicals. I also like that the patches are reusable, which makes them more cost-effective in the long run. One minor issue is that they require a bit of patience to apply properly, but once they’re on, they work wonders. I’ve also found that using them consistently gives the best results. Overall, I am really happy with this product and plan to continue using it. If you’re looking for a non-invasive way to reduce forehead lines, I highly recommend giving Frownies Facial Patches a try!
