Daughter got this for her 6th birthday and opened it that night to play with in the tub. Waterproof, and the names are printed on the bottom. She loves dolphins - had a dolphin themed birthday actually - and this set is perfect. I don't think they are too small, as one review thought. They're about the length of my pinkie finger. A 2 year old would be fine, however they aren't recommended for ages under 3. Includes 12 pieces total.Daughter has played with these everyday for two weeks. She adds in her dinosaurs and ponies, and the game is different. Lots of imaginative play, in and out of the tub.

This item was exactly as described - the pieces were detailed enough to differentiate between the species, and the included species was varied enough that the tube was both fun and educational. A nice addition to the tube would have been a rolled up laminated piece of background paper (ocean scene, for this tube) to have independent play with the items in an imaginary fashion.

My kids love these toys and they are very life like and high quality especially for the price. My kids play with these in the bath and my son is infatuated with the scuba diver. We've had to buy another set when he lost his "scuba steve" After about a year the paint was wearing off the scuba divers knees but he was still in excellent condition, aside from being lost.

My nephew recently became obsessed with whales so I got him these because he was always asking me about different types of whales. I looked up what some of the whales in the toob were and drew pictures of all of them with the names of the different whales. Than I saw the names were printed on the bellies of the whales, so they are even more convenient than I had originally thought. They are a good learning tool for a kid wanting to know all the names and you could easily integrate more facts about them.

Perfect for what I need them for but not ideal for imaginative play. They are very small. Like... the length of a toothpick. The coloring and details were very good on these, in my opinion, however. Totally overpriced though.

My nearly 3 year old son has shown an interest in sea creatures this summer, so finding Safari Ltd.'s line was very helpful.The reassurance that the paint meets child safety standards is certainly a big plus, but these have also held up to some very vigorous play (including a dunk in the bath every morning and rinse afterward).These Toobs are a really great way to get some diverse creatures into your kids hands!
