Does what I Bought it for Great.
Pros... Shaving performance is great for a 2 or 3 day growth. Fast and easy on the skin too .Cons.. 8 hour charging time seems excessive for 45 min of run time, but 45 min equals a lot of shaves for me. Average shave time is 5 min. Charging instructions don't specify whether the charger can be left connected and there is no indicator that says charging is complete It needs a plug-in stand to charge in, either counter based or wall based Replacement Blades are expensiveUpdate.. Changed to 5 stars.. I still haven't had to recharge it after a month of use so it seems like a worthwhile investment in time. Still would love a stand or a wall bracket holder for it though.. For my use it really works great. Very pleased with this item.. Not cheap but its a good example of "you get what you pay for." .Update2.. The stand wall bracket problem has been solved too .. See the following..https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ED97QTG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2Update 3 - I still have not had to recharge this shaver after almost 6 months of use. Charging time is not an issue any more.Update 4 - Almost a year has gone by since I bought this, it gets used once or twice a week and I still haven't had to recharge it, the blade is as good as when it was new.. Couldn't be happier with this product..

Decent shaver/trimmer, but not a replacement for a razor
This doesn't shave as close as a regular razor would, but that is fine with me. I actually prefer the look of what I call, "yes I shaved today but it looks like I can grow facial hari if I wanted to" also known as a 5 O'clock shadow maybe.I like that it seems to create less ingrown hairs than my 5-bladed razor that I have been using. In the video I discuss some other points about the trimmer, but ultimately the lack of a battery indicator, questionable life of the blades, and how it simply doesn't work well on some parts of my face is why its only a 3/5.

Highly recommended
Was considering the $40 version but I really wanted the "14 length settings from 0.4 - 10mm" so I sprung for the Pro version. So glad I did. This thing is amazing when it comes to adjustable grooming. I tried using the bare blade on my face and neck and it doesn't cut close enough like my other Philips Norelco shaver. I mainly got this for my sideburns, using the attachment. It's perfect... but note the settings from 1 on down are very short. I have another body groomer that has a plastic attachment for #1 and the #1 on this cuts muuuuuch shorter. So beware. Start with a bigger number, just so you don't lose your hair!My only complaint is that sometimes it's easy to move the setting of the wheel while shaving. You notice it, so just stop and change it back. But it's a bit scary if you get distracted and don't notice. That's my only advice to the manufacturer... to make it so the wheel is not so easy to move. It's small, lightweight, and charges so fast I couldn't believe it. This thing is awesome. Oh, and while I didn't try, it's obvious by its design that you should keep it away from your nether regions... so don't get too creative, guys.

Good idea, terrible design.
The razor itself it good, but the flimsy plastic blade guards are absolutely junk. The tiny little tabs become loose after a few uses and will eventually not hold the guard in place. Despite the fact they’re both super cheap AND critical to the performance of the razor, they are not readily available for purchase as replacements. The Norelco customer service dept. wants $20 for a replacement guard.. may as well buy a whole new razor (not). Norelco, improve the guard design and this razor would be 5 stars.

Incredibly cheap plastic that breaks off
Updating review, the shaving mount is incredibly cheap. I like it when the plastic isn't breaking leading it to be thrown in the trash. Have gone through two of these in 6 months. Will not be buying again.

In the Facial Hair war of attrition, a new contender emerges.
Ever since my dad first showed me how to shave, at that time with an electric razor, I've had an extended war with my facial hair. The electric razor always seemed to leave short stubble on my face, mostly not visible, but the cut was rough, and it could be felt. It also felt like it was yanking my skin around. Never felt completely satisfied with that shave, and my skin felt irritated afterward. The only upside was that it was quick, and had very little mess.So when I got a free razor from a well-known razor manufacturer, whose blades are named after 3x the speed of sound, and I shaved with this and shave gel for the first time, it was a revelation. My skin was smooth! Sure there were some cuts, but it wasn't bad. Time and practice would fix that. Then the problems started. I simply couldn't shave with an actual razor every day. It was shredding my skin. Over the years I looked for better tips, guides online, videos; tried less pressure, going with the grain, pulling my skin as tight as possible; tried different gels and creams for sensitive skin, lotions, soaps, lathers; heating my face with painfully hot towels and shaving only in the shower; fewer blades, more blades, safety razors. Nothing. My skin was tissue paper every time I tried to shave more than one day in a row.I longed for the convenience of the electric razor, with the smoothness offered by shaving with a blade. I tried several very pricey electric razors, even the ones with lotions that could be used wet. Spent hundreds on them, only to have them end up sitting on a shelf.I gave up eventually and just settled for the fact that I could manage a once-a-week shave and live with a short neckbeard for a couple days. Then I saw this product. It was inexpensive. It seemed new and different from things I'd tried before. For $35, I figured I'd try one more new product. It just arrived and I just tackled my current neckbeard with it. Wow. It felt nothing like any other electric razor I've used. There was no dragging. No hair pulling. The shave is definitely not as close as you can get with a blade, but doing a few extra passes to get it as close as possible is not irritating at all. One minor abrasion when I experimented with getting a little closer. No need to lather up - although you can. Far less mess than a blade. This is the thing that I can use to maintain a cleaner look with the rest of my beard - FINALLY.If your story is similar to mine, give this a try. Other than $35, and potentially an annoying shaving schedule, what have you got to lose?
