Not Worth Your $
It's definitely not worth your money. I know it doesn't cost that much but it's not worth it. The sound is horrible. It does not sound good. I tried playing multiple songs with it and they all sound awful and off tune. I guess that's what you get for the price. The quality of it is not good although it is pretty And nice to look at The carvings on it are nice they could be nicer though. But it's definitely not easy to use and It's difficult to even get a nice sound coming from it. I'm going to attempt to return it. If you want it just to look at it then buy it. But if you're getting it to use and play then don't get it. Just my opinion though.

The carving on the wood is beautiful. Poor sound quality and bad chemical order. Nice display piece

carved flute
Lookong at some bad reviews; One complaint that it is rough on the inside, so take a wood file and gently smooth out the inside. Noticed one uploaded video; no need to blow so hard into the flute, the harder the blow, the higher the pitch and distorted pitch. Saw bad review it only produces 2 sounds; not true.I see wind instrument players playing a wooden flute as if it's a brass wind instrument, and it's not.Higher pitches in notes-lengthen the flute.Keys and tones are produced by the strength of wind entering, the position of mouth on the tip. There are no 2 wood carved flutes alike, wood flutes are not machine mass produced like brass instruments. You control the sound, strength and pressure of wind, tones, etc.Live the carving, plan on doing some peyote beading and add my own artistic look to it.Also keep in mind you get what you pay for in life. Want a more sounding flute, expect to pay starting at 100 for a hand carved Native American flute. Now onto the real issues of the flute; it is too short for a proper sound. The port holes are not lined up formal and drilled too lose to the end of flute which it bares a higher pitch sound. It is missing the underneath port hole.It has beautiful carved designs, which does not make up for the poor sounds.I will.most likely work a little on this flute cleaning up the inside to wear it is smooth, lengthening and drilling the pirt hole in bottom- used by my right thumb towards the front. Not expecting a miracle but something worthy of keeping a good tune and smooth sound.

Doesn't Function as a Musical Instrument
Aside from the fact that it took a long time to receive (I did get notice of this fact), and also that ascetically it is obviously hand carved and rusticly attractive... HOWEVER this flute is not IN ANY WAY musically workable; it's just not made correctly for that function. The other thing I found disconcerting is the smell (of what I believe to be the finish or stain used). I thought that with unpacking and exposure, the odor would dissipate, but it did not. If it were musically viable, it would still be unpleasant to smell each time it was played. To be fair, I really didn't expect much given the price and point of origin. In fact, if one is seeking a quaint "ornament", "curio"or just for novelty, this wouldn't be a bad purchase.

Such a beautiful wood flute
I would definitely purchase this again if it broke or something. I mean, I don't need two of them but I'd buy it for a gift for someone else. It's very nice quality and looks like it was hand carved. I don't know if it was, just saying it looks very nice. Not like some cheap, dried up piece of garbage you'd get from some sweatshop overseas.

The inside is really rough so the sound is really bad, unusable. Looks cool on the outside.
Worst flute I've ever heard. Might be useful to scare away wild animals....or call them in. The outside carving looks cool but the carving ridges around the holes make it hard to make a seal with your fingers. The inside is rough so the air flow isn't right and the sound isn't consistent when you can seal the holes. Sounds real bad.
