Really good for his motor skill development
I received this as a birthday gift for my 1 yr old son at his birthday. It looked simple and it didn't have buttons or lights or made noises, so I thought he wouldn't care too much for it. I was SO wrong! He absolutely loves this. He stacks the gears and turns them and dismantles and starts all over again. Really good for his motor skill development. I should've known it would be a great toy because it was a gift from a mom of 3 little boys! I loved it so much I bought it for a friend's 1-yr old baby boy as well. He loves it too.

Good for a simple machine gear lesson
I got this because I have a lesson about the six simple machines and finding examples of gears is difficult. This is an excellent example.As a toy, my grandson likes to pull the wheels off, he doesn't really like to watch the gears turn at this point in time. It doesn't really drive like a car that much. He does like the bright colors.
