Niles SI-2100 Audio System Accessory Box

Installed this small single rack space stereo amplifier into existing Niles multi-room audio system, powering two pairs of 8 ohm speakers (4 ohm load.) Integrated easily and sounded great. The adjustable volume controls were handy to adjust the audio to desired output. Don't forget to order a stereo audio cable, it is not included in the box. FYI, leave yourself at least 1 rack space above and below for air circulation.

Does exactly what I wanted. Fantastic sound, in a challenging situation powering 3 sets of in-wall speakers, with widely varying impedance, from a PC prone to AM interference. Love the low profile design, and the minimalist on/off button control, and not even a hint of line buzz or AM radio. I paired this with a Niles speaker selector, just because I wanted separate manual volume controls for all zones. Even with the power drop from the selector it's still more than enough oomph to drive them all.

Tiny gain controls are in the back, separate left/right, no identsl. Try adjusting in dark closet, I mean this designed for whole-house... Gain maxed, this amp has no balls period. Better off buying a receiver. One thing I did not consider, you cannot adjust base/treble, its just an overpriced vanilla, underpowered amp.Back it went.

Bought 2 amps to power 4 rock speakers. Very easy to set up and they sound amazing.

I got this unit used. Honestly I was not expecting such good sound. I liked the form factor, gain controls, and option to use a trigger wire or auto-on sensing. When I plugged it in I was honestly very impressed. I think it's a great price for what this is capable of delivering.
