Sumptuously illustrated book and a quality read
This book could be described as a biography; a glossy coffee table book; a written documentary of the performing arts; and many other positive attributes. For me, it's an interesting and compulsive account of the work of a creative theatrical genius, told through some of his collaborators and sumptuously illustrated. Many of the photos and illustrations in this book stand out as works of art in their own right. But if you can focus on the narrative you will find a treasure trove of information and discover insights into the realities created by Robert Wilson which are well worth discovering.I first got to know Robert Wilson's work through his work with Philip Glass on the opera Einstein on the Beach, which I have seen performed live. Thus book has enabled me to put this into perspective, because Robert Wilson's output is nothing short of phenonimal and this book captures this in so many ways.

French language
Please be aware, it's in French. I didn't see that aspect of the listing details, since all the text advertising it, including blurb, was in English, and I was sorely disappointed when it arrived. The pictures are wonderful, and it's obviously a great book if you read French. I feel the seller should have made it clearer that this title is not in English. The blurb was misleading, even though the language was stated in a separate field.
