Callaway Golf Men's Strata Complete Set

Bought the ultimate set. First set I bought after using a friends hand-me-down clubs for the first year or two. Clubs are nice, generally forgiving on the driver, and the 4-5 hybrid have become my go to approach shot clubs. I’m still shooting over 100 but the clubs held up through the season and even the putter is decent.

Let me first start off by saying that for the price and what you are buying; you cant beat it. I ordered mine when they were $200 and I played my first course yesterday with them. This is my review as a beginner keep in mind: Look and Feel: Visually, these clubs are simple and do not have a lot of flare to them but that is something I like. There is no Callaway branding on them and the bag simply has Strata on the side. Not a problem for me, but I know that was a complaint among avid golfers. The clubs I received are sturdy and feel okay in the grip. The grips are comprised of this rubber like material and I found initially as I was testing them out at the driving range, my grip would slip as my hands got clammy. Wearing a glove fixed this issue when I played on the course but it is something to keep in mind when you buy them. Use on the Course: The driver I have problems with but that is most likely due to that I am a beginner. The irons are pretty standard and work as intended. The 5 Hybrid club really shines though and I found that after driving, this was my go to to get the ball on the green. The putter is okay, I have used others that feel better to me as I used them. This obviously is preference based and others may find the putter to be great. I will probably upgrade the putter. Overall: Overall, I highly recommend these clubs as a great starter set. The driver and 5H are forgiving for the beginner which is great so that the beginner, like me, can improve their game without much cost to the game on the course. For the money, you cannot escape the great value that come with these clubs. As a beginner to the game, I give the clubs a 5/5 and highly recommend.

Just getting back into golf after being away for 15 years, and two shoulder surgeries. Wanted a decent intermediate set of clubs that didn't cost an arm and a leg especially since I wasn't sure how my repaired shoulder would hold up to swinging the clubs again. I found this set during amzins prime day and pulled the trigger on buying them with the very big discount and I am so happy I did. These clubs look fantastic, they feel great in your hands, and feel great when you swing them. We went to the range and gpt a super bucket (about 75 balls) and after a few tentative swings to see how it felt I started putting the hammer down and these clubs just performed great for me. I've never been a great or even good golfer, but I was hitting pretty straight and with decent distance. The balance and weight are on par with some of the top of the line (and price) of the big names put there. My friends are serious golfers and spend 1000's of dollars on their gear and they were taking swings with my clubs and they were all impressed. The color scheme on the bag and clubs is really nice looking. I didn't feel like an outsider loading up the clubs into the cart and driving the course. I will be filling out the bag with the clubs I need like a sand wedge and some of the heavier irons that did not come in the set. I will be buying the matching clubs for the set. If you are looking for a nice set, that is affordable, and durable I would recommend these. Likewise said I'm just a guy who wants to go smack some balls with my friends and have no real aspirations in golf except to have fun and improve a little bit each time I go.

Great set

This is a great starter set for someone looking to get into golf. I also had a problem with a club recently and Callaway took great care of me and actually gave me a substantial upgrade. Top tier customer service!

I bought this set a a beginner. I was pleased to find a complete set - irons, putter, driver, wood, and two wedges - for a price I would pay. There are three options, but I was all-in, so I bought the 16-piece set. It includes the sand wedge, which I was sure I would eventually need. Also included are two hybrids, which are usually easier for a beginner to hit than the 4- and 5-iron they replace. This has been a great, affordable set to use as I learn the sport.

I love this set so much! New to golf and was looking for a complete set that wouldn’t break the bank and wouldn’t need to be upgraded immediately. Left handed clubs weren’t the easiest to find solid reviews on but this one came up time and time again so I finally took the plunge. So glad I did!

This is definitely a beginner oriented Golf Club set. This said is good for teenage boys or girls or older male or female call for us who are trying to learn how to play golf. This is not utilizing the best quality materials, which will cost you $1,000 for driver, but it is geared towards the beginners were learning to play golf. If you're thinking about buying this product for your son or daughter who are just starting off to learn how to swing the golf, it should be done in controlled environment such as golf range with nicely padded mats underneath in order to minimize the chance of getting the driver damaged. Ions are in good quality. Hybrid and number three wood is also in very good quality. For how much you pay for, shaft is not the most durable shaft you can get. Thus if you strike the ground or the mat hard, it will break or damage the shaft. However if you are probably learning how to swing the golf club from slow too fast in gradual manner, this club will serve you well. I purchased this set of golf clubs for my son who just turned 16. With him probably learning his swings in control environment, club has not seen any damages in past six sessions. Club is , as mentioned above, not the best quality but for the price you pay for , it is one of the best beginner golf club for sure. Further updates on all clubs will be completed once my son and I go out to the Green in April or May of 2026. If any further updates required, I will update this review.

Positives: This set is a great set to start enjoying the game of golf, it provides all required clubs you need and the clubs are very smooth and easy to get used to, from the putter to the driver. It is great value for money, and the set is solid and durable. Also, the bag is comfortable to carry, provides all necessary pockets to organize your gear and it looks nice. Negative: Only club missing that you'll need to buy additionally at some point is a sand wedge
