My favorite introductory book to human design
I found this book to be the most useful and fun to read out of all the beginner level human design books. I like how it is organized and visually presented. I also like how at the end he gives you examples of charts of famous people you know to help you understand how it all works together and then he gives you their reading, well at least a couple page reading. The book goes over how to understand your chart, the nine centers whether defined or undefined, the five personality types, there's a whole section on your authority and how to work with that, then there's a section on the 36th channels, the next section is on the 64 Gates with his own unique name for them and they are also categorized within each Center, the next section is on understanding your profile and the 12 different profiles, then lastly he pulls it all together by a section called living your design.

Get clear insight into yourself, your children, your relationships and more
I am a professional astrologer and several years ago I first stumbled across Human Design. I had an inner recognition that there was something profoundly insightful about this strange-looking chart that could potentially fill in gaps in my astrological readings. I wanted to know more. I spent time trying to learn about this system from the man who channeled it through(Ra Uru Hu) and his school(Jovian) but was stymied at every turn by the confusing jargon, endless expense, and dark, dogmatic, narrow and often negative interpretations. My inner sense told me that what was being presented was not clean and clear enough. At the time I was about to give up my quest I found Chetan Parkyn and this book. For the first time there were clean explanations that clearly showed the potential for liberating insight that would help me, and my clients, let go of the negative conditioning taken on from the environment and settle into personal truth and integrity. This book is a wonderful introduction and foundation for learning about Human Design and it is the only one I ever recommend to clients or friends who wish to learn more on their own after having a session with me. If you have never heard of Human Design before this is the place to start. If you know about Human Design already and are ready to jump off the Jovian bandwagon and begin to explore a more holistic, integrated and open-ended approach this is a great beginning but it is only the beginning. For me this book was the start of an exhilarating journey into learning more about Human Design and having greater tools with which to work with my clients and myself. For many readers what they find here will be more than enough to profoundly change their lives and provide fuel for continuing growth. Does this book cover every detail, perspective, and nuance of a deeply-layered system? No, but it is the perfect introduction and is complete within itself. With Human Design, like so many esoteric systems, there is always more to learn and after reading this book if one feels the call to it there are deeper layers, teachers such as Chetan and others, and self-experimenting that can enlarge your vision. I highly recommend the journey.

Ridiculously Insightful
I ran my whole family through the software and boy oh boy did it open my eyes... I discovered a massive misperception of myself that has been more useful to my life than any other system I've looked into. Understanding my type, my (decision making) authority and how the defined and undefined centers work, are enough to understand interpersonal communication in a whole new way, and how to really honor your natural design. In my own case, I'm a lone Projector in my family with splenic authority and my dad's a manifestor, with all other members of the family being self driven types. This caused a set of values to be created around me that dishonored my type. I don't have my own life force energy GENERATING power. I MANAGE those energies as I tune into and feel the influence of others with defined sacral centers. I just called myself an extrovert before and thought all of that energy I possessed was mine. I didn't realized I had simply been conditioned to harness the energy of others and I need more breaks than I ever was allowed to practice taking in my family. I also discovered as splenic authority, my best decisions come through instant recognition, so the moment I know something is or isn't right, I gotta go with the instant knowing. Not so and think through everything, like I was taught to do. Since I've started honoring these aspects of self, I already feel better in my relationship with myself. I can see me more clearly now and identify and set boundaries with more confidence than before. I highly recommend learning human design and this book and the software are great tools for that purpose.

Mechanically Connecting Your Inside with Your Outside
This book is very helpful for those people that ask important questions, like: Why am I here? What is my mission? Chetan even mentions it in the eBook for one of the gates that he has designed. This is not an easy read for those that do not know about the concepts of birth date and time, most commonly known as Astrology. For example, the section on "Between the Lines", page 215. I like the connection from those that have undefined gates and those that have the opposite - defined gates. If you are not coaching this information, you may struggle to understand the concepts in the eBook. What makes this an authentic process to study, for me personally is the profile section. Chetan has my ideal match spot on. Is that a coincidence, or my Human Design profile working perfectly? See page 243. I suggest the author revise the book to explain more about the human design graphic on one page. (see screenshot). However, that suggestion may be overlooked, as Chetan also runs a workshop for coaches and others that want to better understand the gates, profiles and so forth with the subject matter expert(s). Some other stuff I did not appreciate in the eBook is the review of dead people, like Princess Diana who is well known to have escaped her royal life via a tunnel in France. If a reader would spend some time researching the "Little Peter" name, they might realize this Parkyn guy is in the blood-line. Overall, an interesting read, which I will read again when I am feeling like leveraging my Human Design for some higher purpose.

Easy to read and understand
I love this book! It's very well-written and easy to understand. After reading this book, I ended up knowing more about some things than my "certified" human design coach. This book has helped me understand myself better and have compassion for the ways I just don't want to hustle like so many others (I'm a Projector). Hubs is an MG, and it's helped us understand each other. Super cool!

Makes Human Design very accessible
I've been a committed student of Human Design for 4 years now, and have been trained as a Human Design reader. The Definitive Book of Human Design by Linda Bunnell is the ultimate resource for learning HD as transmitted by Ra Uru Hu. I am glad I started there. But finding this book this year has been a wonderful addition to my knowledge, and I appreciate the perspective found in this book. I've gained some wonderful new insights that I'm integrating into my work with my coaching clients as I introduce them to their unique design. Highly recommend!
