Great quality for the money. I have a young son who’s is learning to play, so the addition of the grid stickers was a nice touch to add if you wish to ( I have) a great size too! Looks solid, pieces are nicely made, and will last a long time if well looked after. Would love a sleeve or case for it, but again for the money I have no complaints

This is a quality chess set with well-crafted, attractive pieces that have a clean, traditional design. All pieces have consistent heights, profiles, and wood coloration (both natural and stained). They are nicely weighted and finished with felt on the bases, giving each move a satisfying feel and sound. The board itself is also well made and finished. It features sturdy, clicky metal clasps that securely lock the board when folded. These clasps feel quite durable so I have no concerns about them becoming a weak point over time. For players who prefer labeled squares (A1 to H8), the included stickers are a welcome bonus. I purchased three of these sets. Two didn't have any noteworthy issues but one board, however, had minor issues: the two halves were misaligned (1.5mm), and a couple of the taller pieces (the king and queen) lean slightly to one side, noticeable from certain angles. Overall, this chess set offers great value for the money and delivers the look and feel of more expensive sets, with the main trade-off being less detailing on certain pieces like the knights. That said, the design is elegant and appealing, making this a great choice especially for parents who want a more traditional looking board for their kids to use but don't trust them with an expensive luxury set.

Seems good quality for the price. Magetic strength seems well judged and the pieces seem well made as does the board/box. A present so it hasn't been used yet.

Very good quality for the price

I have mixed feelings about this product. It has the potential to be really good value but is let down by poor quality control. It's packaged very well and the pieces are mostly quite nice but a couple of bishops were badly warped in the set I received. There was also a large chip of veneer missing from the side at one corner and the round over edges leave raw mdf showing through, something they've clearly disguised in the images, especially on the top down views. Mine was also missing the patented leveling catches shown in the product description. All things considered, it's probably all you can expect for the money really but it falls short of the quality I was hoping for and the attempt to deceive with the product images really annoys me.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for. Great board and pieces, many long evenings enjoying playing chess with this board.

Item looks well finished out of the box. It wasn’t well packed, it was in a brown bag, not a box, there was a dent on the product box when I took it out so it got me worried. Fortunately the item was unharmed. No cracks on the board as stated by others. Was very satisfied with the product, the pieces also had a bit of weight, not professional weight but for casual play I think is fine. The magnet is relatively strong enough for me. Although found some rough edges on the pieces but I am still Very happy with the quality for this price.
