Sharp, bright, robust
I always loved watching the sky with binoculars, it has a wild field of view and 3d feel, which you don't get with telescope when doing eye view. I bought 10x50 binoculars for a 10th of the price the week earlier and was satisfied with it for daylight fast focusing. Nevertheless, for sky observation at night I needed something that provide a deep feeling (difficult to describe). I opted for the fujinon 10x50 Polaris , and had a chance to test it against moon observation. The sharpness and brightness is the best ever seen to me compare to 4 other brands , in addition, there is absolutely no glare or halo around bright object. You basically have tremendous contrast. It took me a while to get use to individual eye focusing but once you get it it's fast enough for nigh sky observation. Later on , I mounted the binoculars on a camera tripod and got first impression that the left eye had major chromatic aberration. The reason wasn't the binoculars but the angle of my eye to the eyepiece as I was standing on a bumpy spot. Once both your eyes are aligned with eyepiece correctly the image are stunning. The feel of depth with these binoculars are stunning. With large depth of field , it's easy to hop from star to star on a constellation to locate celestial objects . In summary, it's sharp, contrasted and provide depth. Best binoculars I had for sky observation by far . I recommend a long chair and a tripod/support for long observation as they aren't light.

Great binocular for astronomy
These binoculars are very well made, easy to use and gives crystal clear views I use these "binos" for astronomy and am very satisfiedWith their performance. I like the front and rear lens covers--they do their job and are captive. Yes, these binos are heavy...but they are well made and are stable as a result. The individual eyepiece focus on these binos really helps you get the view dialed in to as sharp as it can be for the individual user...it's worth noting that, I'm a guy who likes center focus binocularsThe views these Fujinon 10x50 binos give up are simply stunning.

Sharp, bright and impressive field of view
I bought these mostly for amateur astronomy and boy do they deliver. The 50mm aperture is just big enough for good light transmission, but not too unwieldy to hand hold. And on a tripod these are just amazing. The sharpness is fantastic and there is a noticeable 3D effect to the views. The field of view frames objects like The Pleiades (M45) beautifully, the entire Belt or Sword of Orion as well.I can't want to take these out to the desert and spend an evening under dark skies!

Spectacular Astronomy Binoculars
After trying mid priced binoculars ($160 - $350) binoculars by Adlerblick and Celestron without being really satisfied, I splurged on the Fujinons 10x50 FMTR-SX. They arrived well packaged, and in perfect shape. They are the sharpest, highest contrast, and brightest 10x50 binoculars I have ever used. The optics are so good that even my very finicky astronomy buddy said (with obvious disappointment), "Yours are better," when he compared the view of the Pliades through my Fujinons vs. his $2600 8x42 birding binoculars. The Fujinon optics are that good. Even from the suburbs I have been able to knock off Messier objects like nobody's business. Under a dark sky I found them indispensable for locating dim deep space objects to observe in my big 12.5"f5 dobsonian telescope. Having said that, these binoculars have their drawbacks. For 10x50 binoculars, they are heavy, sometimes too heavy for me for hiking, although they are still usable hand held. Like any 10x binoculars, they are best tripod mounted for nice, steady, views. And unlike most binoculars, these Fujinons do not have a center focus - the eyepieces rotate individually to focus, making them almost useless for sports or birding, but just fine for astronomy or boating. Because they are waterproof, they are good for boating, but they do not have a built-in compass, like other models, like this one 7x50 FMTRC-SX Binocular with compass When it comes to optics, you get what you pay for. I could not be more satisfied with my Fujinon FMTR-SX binoculars. They are the sharpest, brightest, highest contrast 10x50 binoculars I have ever used. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. No other binocular has pleased me more, or even come close.
