Omggg it works!
Now I must warn you , the I ritual smell can be kinda strong. But besides that it truly works and does the job. (Smell goes away after a few hours)I was having a very dry scalp from some medicine I am currently taking. Very flakiness and I tried everything on the market.Nothing was working except sulfur 8 which I didn’t like the scent either.Giving this product a chance I thought what could I lose. I used a root moisturizer cream along with this to lay in my scalp and omgggg this stuff really works.I don’t have any issues with my scalp! It feels so soothing and my hair ultimately feels happy! So happy I found this !

Excellent for scalp damage
I had a very itchy sore scalp, which turned into a bumpy, itchy, sore scalp. I called my dermatologists office and had a 3 week wait. In the mean time, my hair started falling out in clumps. When I say it fell out, I don't mean it broke off, I mean I had bald patches. I called a dear friend who is a licensed cosmetologist. I sent her photos of my scalp and she immediately suggested Pine Tar. I couldn't find any in the local hair care stores so I ordered it from Amazon. While I waited for the order my hair was still falling out and my scalp was sore to the touch.Once my jar of pine tar arrived I shampooed my hair with homemade Tea Tree oil infused medicated shampoo, and applied the pine tar. It really smells bad, but after 2 applications of pine tar my scalp stopped itching. In about 10 days all the sores were healed, and the hair loss stopped. I continued this regimen until I got in to see my dermatologist. My doctor said I had a severe allergic reaction to a conditioner I used. The allergic reaction developed into eczema, which itches like crazy and the constant scratching turned into an infection. I had A LOT going on with my scalp. The ointment the doctor gave me, caused a severe migraine. He forewarned me of that side effect, and let me know if I got a headache to return to the pine tar, because pine tar actually heals the scalp. My hair is growing like crazy, my scalp is super healthy, so I ordered another jar. It is great for my scalp horrible for my social life. I don't EVER want to experience anything like what I went through with my scalp, so I will continue to treat my scalp to this wonderful stuff once in a while.

Doesn’t smell very good!
It doesn’t have the best smell but the scent is easy to cover up with another scent from another hair product. I’m not sure how good it works yet because I just received it today.

This Pine Tar is amazing. My daughter has bad dandruff and sores on her scalp, and I've been trying things that don't really help. I recently remembered what I used to use on her over a decade ago that works wonders and quickly. It was this, the Pine Tar. So happy I could find it again. I'll make sure I stay stocked with this from now on.

great product
I have natural hair and I tend to try many different products so that I can find what works well for me. I love the smell of this product and it does help keep my scalp healthy and hair strong. I noticed a change and after a few weeks I noticed how much stronger and healthy my hair was. Results may vary so I suggest that you have to try it to see if it works for you. Will be ordering again.

Works well
I used this for a little over 2 1/2 weeks. I have seen griwth. I had my hair in a protective style and the growth showed, and my edges WAS VERY THIN. Now I can bread them with out pulling on them and breaking my hair, so this stuff definitely work. The price is too much on Amazon. I found in a beauty supply store in my town for $3.59 and the jar was bigger.

Greasy
I used it once so far but there's no way I could go three days without washing my hair (especially going out in public). Looked like I washed my with grease. It doesn't smell good either. I am wondering if people actually use this as a conditioner or if they try hard NOT to get it on the hair, but just on the scalp. I really would like to use it but I can't be hold up in my house for three days after application. Thank you. I might change my rating if I still use it and find it works for thickening/growing hair.
