Visibility is the most important aspect of any dive. The M1 mask raises the bar for optical quality and distortion free vision. This lens is an extra clear glass which is valued for its attractive appearance and optical qualities. The low iron content produces a higher light transmittance and a reduced green tint inherent in other glasses. This makes the lens distortion free and helps improve color and visibility in low light conditions underwater.

It works ,vision is awesome.
There’s nothing i dislike about this mask.i did have to burn off some silicon on the inside and i used the pepsodent tooth paste trick and scrubbed the inside and outside of the glass 4 times. It doesn’t fog at all now. The mask is very comfortable and doesn’t leave any marks on my face. The glass is very clear , no color distortion at all. I also have an atomic venom and Tusa freedom 100 HD.this mask is every bit as good as them. The water temp this morning was 83.5 so there was no condensation on the inside of the mask. We will see how it does when the water drops into the low 70’s. Also I love the bucke system on this mask, very simple and appears to be very rugged. One other thing the mask has a very nice matte finish. I’m not fond of shiny things. Although i have heard sharks love shiny reflective thing. Reminds them of fish scales. All round its a great mask. Try one on at a dive shop to see if it fits. I have a lean face and it’s a perfect fit.

So far so good. Have yet to see the long term . To be contd.
Tried it finally in Kauai waters but just snorkeling around as I’m no dive expert whatsoever. I am now comparing this and a necessary replacement to the Cressi Panoramic which was tight and squeezed my temples cause I have a wide chubby face. Bought this cause of the many reviews and purchases of this mask even for being the older model it’s still raved reviews. So I did have to use the “lighter method’ as many mentioned but in my case I used a heat gun since I have one and much more controlled / safe which I did see the inner silicone film burn off from the glass. Looked like defrosting your car windshield in the morning. Clear view underwater with little to no distortion. Did not squeeze my head temples like the Cressi mask and give me a headache which is what Would have made or break my decision of this mask. Did not experience much fogging cause the nose really blocked my nasal passage and the seal sat right above my mustache so there was no interference there plus I had anti fog applied as well. Very minimal water came in but I’m sure cause it’s not broken in yet , still stiff and take some time to get the best adjustments for my face. I’ll resend an update after a few more trips and use. So far I’m happy with this and I’ll be donating the Cressi to a tour boats stash!

Great quality mask
This is a great mask for both technical and recreational scuba diving. The single pane glass lens give you a wide and unobstructed field of view, while the black skirt blocks out light from the sides giving you a sharper image. The dual strap on the back conforms to my head very well and I have not had any issues with comfort. I like that there is no "frame" to this mask, instead it is one single piece of silicone that hooks directly to the strap, reducing points of failure and potential leaks. From what I have read and experienced, this mask fits a wide range of face shapes, but as with any mask I would recommend trying it in person first to make sure. The only issue I have had is sometimes (1 in 10 dives), the nose pocket can seal to my nostrils causing a squeeze, but this can be fixed by pulling the mask away briefly, and prevented by equalizing more often. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an upgrade.

Defog with a lighter (seriously!)
After my open water certification, I decided to upgrade the cheap mask I bought before the class. Why go down if you can't see anything? This weekend I went on a lake dive with the new Hollis M1 and it fogged up the whole time. So badly that I ended the dive and got out of the water to switch masks.Since that was my first time using the mask, I thought maybe I needed to do a better defog ahead of time so I came home and started looking online. I scrubbed with toothpaste for 10 minutes (not kidding - I used a timer!) and it was better but still fogged after just a few minutes on my face at home. Finally I saw a YouTube video that used a lighter to burn off the silicone. Now, burning off silicone inside a silicone mask seems like a fool's game, but after the video I decided I'd try it really safely. I took off the strap and slowly let the lighter up into the mask.I was stunned. It worked completely and you could see it burn off. I did it slowly a few more times on the rest of the glass and it's incredible. Now I can't fog the mask if I'm trying. I'd highly recommend doing this, albeit safely and carefully.

I bought this mask for my husband. His old mask would leak every time we went on deep dives, so I decided to purchase this mask for his birthday since our dive maskter recommended it. We went on a deep two tank dive to test out the mask. At first it leaked a little since he has a thick beard, however once he tightened the mask a bit it fit like a charm! It’s comfortable and durable. He is very pleased with his birthday gift. Thumbs up on this product

Fogs a LOT
I bought this masked based on pretty credible reviews that it might not get foggy, even without using antifog solutions. That's not true. At all.I cleaned the mask using the lighter method, then tried it in warm and also colder waters. It fogged very rapidly and not even uniformly. Spit didn't work. Using antifog solution did, but then it's no better than other diving masks.

Great for LARGE NOSES
Well made mask - the skirt material is super soft and comfortable. Mask is a mid volume mask. Not very small like a free-diver mask, but much small volume than most standard scuba masks. Allows for a better field of view, and feels less clumsy on your face. Best part though is the soft skirt and lack of rigid plastic frame means is great for people with large noses. No pressure on the bridge of your nose. Only downside for this mask is the price.

Not made for larger than average noses
The quality of the mask seems to be excellent, but unfortunately it seems to be the case that most diving masks are not designed for people with larger noses. This one didn't rub the bridge of my nose like most masks as it seems to have a higher notch in the lens, but it does put an uncomfortable amount of pressure on the underside of my nose. Having more room around the bridge of my nose than most masks, I tried to position it lower on my face, but the nose pocket is too small for me.

Quality, great fit
Not used under the waves yet but good quality mask, close fitting with a good seal and great field of view. Recommended

Great mask
This is a fantastic mask and very good quality!Only problem with this mask is it is very difficult to condition when first using it so beware! Make sure you rub toothpaste inside the lense for the first few times using it as it fogs up really bad. Also use seal drops inside to stop it fogging up. Once this mask is conditioned it works very well and is a great mask. Highly recommended.

Great dive mask
Great dive mask! The best I've had. Crystal clear glass, superb field of vision. Just make sure you condition it VERY well! I still had some minor fogging issues after two thorough toothpaste treatments. After a third going over all was well. Not a cheap mask but worth every penny considering it's your window on the underwater world!

Really gread design, I love these! Very comfortable, easy to adjust and fits snugly. The visibility is the highlight, truely the best mask I've used.
