I once had a very large cauldron/ African stew pot, I used it for large camping gatherings. I stopped using it, and so I eventually gifted it to someone else who was still organizing the event. I have lacked a larger cauldron since. I bought this 2 gallon pot, and I am so happy with my choice! It is large enough to share the contents, but small enough to easily carry and create single person workings/meals as well. I did have trouble with the way (A) fulfilled the order, but they made it right. The third party vender packed it well, and it survived, in spite of (A) fllmnt. I seasoned it three times and it is incredibly beautiful, and ready for use. I love that there are 3, 3’s on it (3 and 9 are sacred numbers) and 3 rings around the belly. It is so beautiful that I now have it on display in my fireplace (rather than putting it away). I will honestly cherish this cauldron. I highly recommend this business.

My wife is from South Africa and missed her pot. This pot brought a piece of home to the USA for her.

I received my pot in a beat-up box wrapped around with USPS "Received in damaged condition" tape. No packaging material left in the box and missing the pot's lid, but no obvious damage to the pot itself.I contacted the seller about the missing lid. They had one in the mail the next day. It took about a week to receive the lid which arrived in good shape and in time for me to gift this pot to my braai-loving South African friends who had to leave their pot behind when they moved to the US.

Pre seasoned pot is great

Arrived quickly. This Potjie will require some work before it makes kos. The seasoning, is it is seasoning and not some industrial oil, needs to be removed and the whole thing needs a good proper seasoning. Also, the bottom of the Potjie is rough cast, this may seem like cosmetic work but those open rough pores will need extra care for the potjie not to corrode from the bottom.If you know how to maintain cast iron then this is worth your while.

Good quality, heats nice and evenly, easy to clean and maintain.

I was really excited to buy the 10quart cauldron and it came and the box was completely destroyed. I checked the pot for cracks and found a massive crack down the inside and outside of the entire pot. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift. Disappointed in the thinnes of the pot, I was hoping it would have been thicker.
