Great product, even better Customer Service!!
Awesome product! As others have said in other reviews, the double sided tape included isn’t very strong. I had some scotch 3M double sided laying around the house and just cut it to size to make it secure.Using this will make your GoPro not so water tight, so make sure it’s properly secured and away from the water. The cable does fit snuggly in the side, and does appear that it would keep some rain drops or things of that nature from damaging the camera, just be careful.I would also like to mention, I had an issue with my cable when it came in and Customer Service was on top of it! I had a replacement within a couple days! These guys stand behind their products, so if your looking for something to keep your GoPro rolling this is a great choice.

Works great. There's nothing like this out there
Works great. I use it to keep my GoPro on my kayak waterproof. I've made several trips and it always keeps water out. And surprisingly the adhesive that sticks to the GoPro case is very strong. Still works wonderfully

Decent solution for external power that is fairly weatherproof. Some room to improve.
Reviewing X~PWR-H5 66" All-Weather External Power Kit for GoPro.Arrived quickly. Trouble free packaging. Overall one of the better solutions to the problem of preserving weather seal on a GoPro 5/6/7 while powering externally. It deserves a detailed review, because with refinement it could be really amazing. Right now I think it will do the job, but not without a few issues. The cable itself is ok material, not cheapest but not amazing. The USB-C connector end is a nice soft plastic or rubber blend and fits snugly into the GoPro cable plug compartment, forming a seal on it's own over the exposed connectors. For tripod or stationary work, you may not need the clamp. For situations where the cable may come loose- wind, vibration, etc, the added clamp works fine to apply some pressure and make sure the cable stays sealed, but it is impossible to install so that it doesn't cover the mic just forward of the cables on H6 or H7, and the stock case already covers the other one up by the record button. Seems kind of silly to advertise avoiding a bulky case and mention preserving sound- then your product covers one of the mics. I may try cutting a notch in the rubber pressure pad to allow the mic to be exposed. If you like the aftermarket slimline cases that let the cable door open, you cannot use this clamp with them because the adhesive pad is just slightly the wrong shape.I am unsure about the strain relief on the cable, and elsewhere I only use high strength cables covered in braiding with hard plastic strain relief extensions, such as Cable Matters or similar brands. We'll see if this cable holds up, but the strain relief really looks like the kind to wear out. Hopefully not plugging the cable in and out all the time will make this last at least a year. For the price, I would like to have had a nicer quality cable. A couple 75 inch high quality USB -C cables is ten bucks, so the fact this cable is not even 6 feet and isn't tougher is troubling. In fairness, 20 bucks for a specialized USB-C cable, and ten more bucks for the clamp solution isn't awful. Considering that the sealing end is nicely done , the engineering that went in to this is ok, and this is a small US based business, and making my own solution would cost as much, I'm not too unhappy with the expense. For an improved version, I would LOVE to see:-a simple custom gasket/grommet that fits any USB-C cable (most are very similar in connector jacket size) instead of providing one cable of lower quality with the custom ends. Someone please just make a rubber plug that fills the same space but accepts any USB-C!-The hinge is a good idea to put pressure on the cable, but maybe rework it so the mic is not covered, and make one that works with aftermarket cases that have larger openings for the battery door, when installed. Also, the hinge screw should go into the case and be removable, not stick out all the time. OR, make a custom slimline case that incorporates everything, such as custom gasket/grommet, battery door can be on or off and open while case on, no mic holes covered, etc.

Not as described
This does not work with a hero 7 like it states. The retainer that holds the cable in will not go around to go over the cable. Package even says for go pro hero 5 doesn’t say anything about hero 6 or 7 like the description says. I’m only five 3 stars because one of my camera is a hero 5 and the other is a hero 7. Other wise I would be giving one star

Faulty USB power cord
It seemed to work fine the 1st few ties I used it but i THINK that was because I had a battery in the GoPro when it was plugged in. I learned that you shouldn't have a battery in it because it can be damaged by the heat if it is on for a long time. So I went without a battery. The GoPro would power on as normal, then I would use my phone to set up the Timelapse or video.. hit record and walk away. Well... come to find that about 10 seconds after I walked away the camera went black and stopped recording! I lost out on some potentially amazing sunsets! I just did some testing and every other USB cable I plugged in worked fine and did NOT shut off. The moment I plug in the cable from this kit, it glitches and goes black seconds after hitting record. Very disappointing. I need to see if they will send me a new cable, I will use the other part of the kid to reduce dust from getting in my camera... but I won't be able to use it in the rain.

Worked as needed
Easy to use and worked as designed. Able to plug camera into extension cord for 14-18 hour time lapse video recordings during rainy weather.

Rediculously expensive for how basic it is
Functions, but no rubber seal, doesnt fit seperate frames. its a cable with a plastic flange. Way over priced for what it is.
