Really good book, clear instructions and designs too die for. Such fun bags look good anywhere, on the beach, an evening meal, a briss, a funeral. There is nowhere these bags are a problem. Apart from the snipers on the ridge, the bags stick out like giant polystyrene arrows

Several patterns, easy to follow instructions, even includes instructions for making cord and flat handles to exactly colour match the bags. I imagine it will be easy to follow even for those relatively new to crochet. People who are already good at the craft will probably build their own projects based on what they learn reading the patterns. Really useful resource and nicely written.

A lovely book, nice clear instructions with great photographs. Looking forward to getting my hooks out and making some gifts.

I have never managed to learn to follow charts or even patterns properly until this book. It is much more than a book of bags. To be honest the bags are all similar just different designs but the explanations of how to crochet make it worth while. I didn't know there were different ways of making the stitches but there are and even which way you pick up the thread changes the look of the stitch. All this is explained and for the first time I was able to produce something that actually looked like the photograph. In addition her explanations of how the make the handles and cords are worth the book in themselves. If you don't know what split ply braiding is you will after reading this. It is worth it for the explanations of how to form the stitches and what a difference the direction of pick up can make and the handles to finish the bags.

Fab book. I want to make all the bags! Has technique instructions and easy to follow patterns. Excellent reference book. Lovely pictures too.

I ordered this yesterday and it came within 24 hours ~ very pleased!! The paperback version is fantastic ~ very detailed for a beginner and good for someone like myself who just want’s to get new pattern’s, plus reflect on the way of making these again after a time of not making them ~ this book would make a fabulous 🎁 for people ~ may purchase another in future for a Christmas 🎁!! The price is very reasonable too!!

My book just arrived, and it has exceeded all my expectations. I preordered this before I discovered all of the other online resources for this specialty type of crochet. I am very glad I ordered it because it is a very detailed book with all of the information you need in one place. The book goes into great details on technique, everything from the size of the crochet hook to use to troubleshooting techniques. Several patterns are included, and the patterns include both diagrams and worded instructions. Also included is a chapter on making shoulder straps. The author includes directions on ply-split braiding with patterns that start simple and get more complex as you progress. There is also a section on Kumihimo for making the drawstring. The pictures in the book are very clear and crisp. Although online videos are helpful for learning, I would definitely consider this book a must-have reference.

A good book, I’m still reading it and I’m following instructions carefully. I do find that it’s a bit tricky though to get the stitches correct.
