Excellent for hobbies
Perfect for crafts and hobbiesYes, it's a bit heavy, as others have mentioned, so you wouldn't want to do 8 hours non-stop, but I found that 30 mins with a 5 min break was perfectly good and I didn't get a headachePicking up on some other comments....As you increase the magnification by inserting stronger lenses, you HAVE to work closer to the piece - that's just basic optics. So on the weaker lenses you are working 40-50 cm away, on the stronger lenses 10-20 cm awaySo on the highest magnifications, I put a box on my workbench and put the piece on that so that I wasn't hunched overInserting the batteries is a slight fiddle, but it took me less than 30 seconds to do itThe light is bright enough - I always run it on the brighter of the two settings and can see everything I need to seeI found it great to be able to wear my prescription specs and use this, really crispy clear with that combo

Brilliant product
Very comfortable once you get used to the weight, they are well balanced and easy to adjust, a great choice of magnification having two separate clips to hold the lenses so you can clip one front or rear or use two lenses together, they also have a circular lens on its own bracket which can be used on its own or in front of the clipped lenses, this makes the magnifier very versatile and would suit many close work trades or situations. If you wear specs don't worry there is room for them too. Wear them as you would a hat with the rim around your forehead and above your ears, the adjustment is a knob on the rear band and all contact areas have a soft rubber protector. There is no bridge piece sitting on your nose causing discomfort. There is also a very good adjustable LED light to focus on your work which also unclips to use as a torch if required. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase which appears to be well made and would certainly recommend this product.

Excellent Magnifier
Bought this to do some extremely small SMD electronic soldering. As with all lenses there is a focal distance so getting used to how far or near you need to be to focus on the object takes a little while to get used to.I used a combination of 3x & 1x/2x lenses and to make it worse this was on top if my normal glasses. So I did have to get in close so my eyes could focus on the object. But it does work and managed to solder some very small parts that were less than 1mm - 2 mm in length.I've not used the lamp yet but I could imagine it being a tad heavier with three batteries loaded on top.I did have to tighten the sides a couple of times, but thats because I kept lifting the lens part above my head when I didn't need the magnifier for a few minutes.Thats just normal for anything like that, it'll loosen itself if you keep wiggling it back and forth. So I ignored that and just tightened it again and alls well again.Yep I would recommend this to anyone that needs a little close up work to be done.

Wobbly lens holder
Hi, was looking for a portable magnifying aid to help with close range work for electronics and other fiddly jobs. This item based on reviews and price looked worth a shot! The product was despatched quickly, and received next day by Amazon. After unboxing item, inserted 3x batteries (not supplied) into LED light holder, and then went to insert lens. Found a couple of issues:1. The lens box did not have any catch/tab/lock to stop the lid from coming free once I peeled back the sticky label to fit the lens.2. The angled lens holder did not hold its position firmly, causing the lens to move if you moved your head. This was a big issue for me.I checked the screw on the holder and it seemed quite tight so not able to tighten to keep the holder in a static position. This would cause a problem should I lean over an item I was inspecting using this head mount.Decided I will be returning the item for a refund. Shame :-(

Avoid this cheap tat please don't waste your hard earned money
This item ordered on Prime...so there was a dispatch mistake which meant that I didn't receive the goods till 2 full days after expected date. Ok so mistakes happen but I bet Amazon still take my subscription in full!!! When it finally did arrive I opened the Amazon plastic cover and the box had clearly been opened and was battered , on opening the box the headband had obviously been previously used...there are hairs which are not my colour attached to the head band. There was no polythene bag covering the supposedly new product which is unbelivable in these times of increased personal hygiene concerns...it is either a previously returned item or it had been used prior to it being shipped. The general quality of the product is cheap and tacky...I would doubt that the product would last for any acceptable time. The battery compartment was empty and no batteries were supplied in the package...on closer inspection of the package there is a missing component in the moulded plastic packaging...this empty space suspiciously is the same size as is 3 x aaa batteries . The battery compartment also shows signs of previous use as it does not positively snap shut as you would expect. I am really disappointed with this £25 item...I wonder if the seller knows how long I have to work to earn £25 or disposable income !!!. This item is of extremely poor quality for the money and not fit for the purpose I bought it for....I will pop to the pound shop and get myself an illuminating eyeglass
