Looks and works just like my factory original FOB.
I purchased two of these for my 2008 Pontiac G8 GT. Had a locksmith cut the keys and did the simple programming procedure and all systems working as they should. The plastic / rubber over the buttons is a bit stiff at first but loosens up with use. Excellent quality. I am very happy with this product and recommend it. Came with batteries and a nice Pontiac sticker / emblem to put on the fob. Looks and works just like my factory original fob. No need for the dealer. Easy process.

Favorite key fob
When there was a recall on my original fob I obediently went to ge dealership to have both if them fixed. Little did I know they were going to permanently fix the key in a position sticking straight out from the fob. I was extremely irritated. Always wanted the old style back. Found this and wanted to try it. Local hardware store was able to cut it for $29. My son programmed it in less than 2 minutes. Perfect! Happy Mama

Practically OEM
Item arrived quicker than expected time of delivery. I tried reaching out to my local Chevy dealerships, and they either did not want to cut a key that wasn’t sold by them or they recommended a locksmith since they were going to charge me an absurd amount for cutting the key blank.Luckily I found a locksmith that charged $35 to cut the key. Regarding programming, it was super simple:- To have the car recognize the new key (in order to start the car), you must start your car with original key and then turn off. Then (within 5 seconds) insert the new key in the ignition but this time set it to ON (the one setting prior to starting the motor). Return to off position, and that’s it.- As for the button programming, make sure you have ALL of your working keys (including the new one). With one of the keys, set it to the ON position (the one setting prior to starting the motor), then scroll through the dash settings to get to REMOTE CONTROL (or REMOTE PROGRAM). You have an option to read the instructions on the screen, but essentially you’ll need to press & hold the LOCK+UNLOCK buttons at the same time - until you hear 2 beeps. Once completed, continue the same button process on the remaining keys (one key at a time). Once completed, turn ignition off and you’re done!My car originally came with the switch blade style, but after the ignition recall many years ago, they replaced it with a fixed key. Glad to have the original style back (and amazing quality!)

100% OEM fob
This FOB was just like the original. The buttons are the same hardness as OEM. I was able to swap the key from the crumbling old fob to this new one. 3 Months later, still working great. This Fob also included the Pontiac logo to install.

Great Replacement/Extra Key
The key worked just as promised, all I had to do was get it cut and follow the video on GTOG8TA.com. Go to a local Chevrolet dealership and it’ll run you about $10 to have it cut.

Very wobbly!
Key works as it should, but the quality isn’t OEM. It wobbles at the base and everybody’s does but it doesn’t bother some people. Bothers me…
