Happy Hen!
TLDR: Previously injured chicken decided she’s too good for the flock and wants to live on her own near the humans and house pets. Tiny house, low cost, she’s happy, I’m happy. Don’t buy if you plan to raise more then 1 chicken in it. Do buy if you have a “special” chicken or need a hospital coop for an injured chicken.I want to start this by saying I do not review items typically, unless I’m really happy with the product and feel like it has gotten the short end of the stick by other reviews.Back story… We raise chickens, and have a large functional coop for our flock that we built ourselves years ago. 2-3 months ago, I would have never thought I would purchase a pre-fab coop or even be on the hunt for one. However, here I am. Long story short, we had a hen injured by a truck, speeding down our small country road. Not a direct hit, but she was picked up by the wind and tossed. Injured leg, unable to walk, but since she was alert and no life threatening injuries to be found, we decided to bring her inside to the hospital kennel until her leg healed. From there things went south. Within two days we noticed an awful smell coming from her and discovered that she had not only had a vent prolapse but she had also developed a nasty case of vent gleet (yeast infection in chickens). I got the prolapse fixed, the vent gleet treated, but she still wasn’t out of the woods as she became egg bound about 1.5 weeks after not laying (we kept her in the dark 18 hours a day to try to prevent this), and then the egg busted inside of her. All the while, she can’t really walk. I can’t count the times I told my husband to get the cone and hatchet ready because the last thing I want is to prolong a life of suffering, however the day would come and she would show improvement. After 1.5 months of being an indoor chicken, hanging with the humans, the cats, and the dogs (her best friends a pit bull) we moved her & the kennel to the fenced in yard to give her more space to practice walking, she’s got the slightest limp. After about a week of that, we tried to integrate her back to the flock. They didn’t even notice her, she however became a bully. And in the evening while the rest of the flock headed to the coop, she would walk to the back gate and wait for me to open it. It’s been a month, and we decided it was time to get her something more permanent then a covered kennel on the ground. With it being soccer season and planting season, we just don’t have the time to build a single ladies house. So here we are. I constructed this myself, partially in the living room. I knew what I was getting because I can read measurements (the company has them for anyone to see) & as you can see, she happily went inside. I used a drill to make things go quicker, DON’T use a drill if you have a heavy hand. The instructions are pictures, they aren’t hard to read and where I would get a little confused, I would come back here to look at the pictures or the video. As far as rain goes, it’s been pouring all day, I didn’t have her in it yet, so I was able to check for wetness as I didn’t have any bedding in yet either, it was dry as can be. We plan to paint it to match the big coop, she won’t be pinned in the run as we free range, but I will keep her food, water, and oyster shells there. If she ever does decide to be an actually chicken again & go back to the flock, I’ll keep this cute little coop as a hospital coop.If you’re new to chickens and you think this is going to work for your 2-3 hens - it’s not. When their chicks, absolutely. But when they’re full grown & laying, look elsewhere. If you want something for a “special” chicken, a hospital, or for a few chicks - it’s perfect!

Great for the price !
I have a larger version of this coop and wanted a smaller one to use as a day care for momma and baby away from my other chickens till the baby is bigger and able to socialize with grown hens other than her mom. This worked out perfectly. I did not find but one small defect which was easily fixed in its construction. All parts were there and was easy to assemble. I am very happy with this coop but be aware this is a SMALL COOP. My chickens are bantams and if they were regular size they would not fit height wise under the coop side. It would be perfect for one or two bantams but one regular chicken would not have enough space.

Cool LITTLE Coop
It is my first time raising chickens so I actually have no real knowledge on this. The coop was easy to put together and cute. For the most part well made. Many said only one or two chickens. I currently have 3 Barred Rock Plymoths and 2 Rhodehouse Reds. I was only suppose to receive three birds but received five I am guessing in case of death during delivery. What do you know lucky me not one death. So now I have 5 chickens in that one coop. (I am going to get them a extended run though. But they all seem "happy" and they do not seem to be crowded at the time. The issue I seem to have so far (they are not laying yet so the nesting boxes are blocked off) is the door that you close them up in the "house" at the end of the night. The pine gets in groove all the time and to make sure the door closes completely I have to get a stick every night and dig out the pine chips for it to close all the way... not a problem, problem just irrigating and time consuming. Suggestion: Place some kind of lock on the bar that pulls and pushes the door open (raccoons are smart and strong, given enough time they would figure it out because opening the door to the pin the wire door is not hard at all ( feel that should have some kind of lock on it also. I also bought some quarter inch wire and stabled it to the bottom (since digging animals would have no trouble digging under it and opening the "house" door also. All in all if you are okay with the things I said and maybe willing to put your own locks on (yes additional money) then I would recommend this coop to beginners I feel experience raisers would have already looked for these things or be willing to "fix" them. Thank you

Glad I ordered this... good value for money!
I took a chance and ordered this, despite the complete lack of reviews. I'm glad I did, so to help my fellow shoppers, I thought I'd better review it. I purchased this to give my indoor cats a safe place to hang out outside; between cars and the occasional coyote roaming through, I don't want to just turn them loose. The Clarence coop arrived the first day of the predicted delivery window, in one box, well packed, undamaged, and with all pieces and parts accounted for. I took my time putting it together and found the simple, one page visual instructions easy to follow. I spent about an hour-and-a-half on assembly, but could have done it more quickly if I had to. (It was hot, so I paced myself!) The only tools I used were a Phillips head screwdriver (a ratcheting one helps) and a small socket to hold the few nuts as I tightened bolts here and there.I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a small to medium animal enclosure. Since I'm using it for cats, I brought it inside for them to check out, but it will live outside. Note that there is no floor; it can be place directly on a lawn or patio or you could make a base for it if needed. I will just be putting a bit of bedding in there, so the cats can be cozy if they want. I also left out the nesting box divider and the roosts. The attached photos provide an idea of the space inside the coop, as well as the overall scale. I won't be putting more than two cats at a time in it and it could easily accommodate two laying hens if you want to use it as intended, or a couple of bunnies. In summary, I think that this is a good buy and I am pleased to have purchased it, as are my pets who can now safely enjoy some fresh air and admire up close the birds and bugs they'd like to hunt!
