Good quality tie, nicely packaged

This 06-Black herringbone 50% wool, 50% polyester tie is thicker than I expected and quite warm, so I find to suitable for cooler days. Being a thicker tie, I did find that most of the tie knots I knew ended up being to bulky. Being about 5', 11" tall, I was having trouble getting the tips of the tie blades to line up while still getting the tips to end at my waistband until I found a knot called The Oriental Knot in a "Hot To" video on YouTube called "How To Tie A Tie - Oriental Knot - Most Simple & Smallest Knot" that produces a smaller knot with fewer layers that seems more suitable for this tie. I also have one of VOBOOM's gray/blue/white plaid ties (style: 018) which is 30% wool, 70% polyester that is much thinner than the herringbone wool tie and it works fine with common Half-Windsor knot. As the ties are differing thicknesses, you may have to play around with some of the different tie knots to find one that suits each tie and lays the way you like it. I wish VOBOOM would offer all their ties in assorted lengths, but other than that I'm happy with my purchase. I do like this 50/50 herringbone wool/polyester tie for work, and now that I've found the right knot for it, it looks good. It was inexpensive, so it's a good tie if you are shopping on a budget. Be aware that it can be a little short if you are a taller gentleman, but a little creativity will solve that problem. Overall I'm pleased, it goes well with my herringbone wool waistcoats.

Love the design and material

it’s a very soft, but substantial, tie. i think it will knot very nicely -and look/feel right at home in the cooler months. it’s slim, but not skinny which i really like. it shipped really fast and i’m really happy with the look and feel of it.

Wonderful quality

Good quality and inexpensive tweed tie. It's a little darker than the picture, but that isn't an issue for me.

Bought the tie to complement the tweed waistcoat I bought from Voboom. Nice tie but the pattern should have a contrasting colour and I couldn't see that otherwise ok.
