2010 Kia Forte Programmed at Dealership
Was a little nervous not buying the key fob from the dealership, but if I can save money then I will. Took it to the dealership to have it programmed and the guy told my 9 out of 10 time when you buy key fobs from either amazon or eBay they usually don’t work. Fortunately it worked like a charm. Thanks for the great product!

wasnt suppose to use a key to unlock door
when I bought my 2010 kia forte, I only had a key to gain entry. I was told you need a keyless remote. the price is very good and had it programmed for 60.00. and works like a charm. no problems what so ever!

Don't buy this fob for a Kia
I thought to save money by getting this fob for 20 bucks and then having a third party code it and avoid the dealers high fee. After making several attempts, I concluded that Kia corporation has coded the fob so that only they can make it work, and then jacked up their price to 250 dollars if you get it done at the dealer.Nothing bad on the part of the producers of this fob, but because of Kia corporation's dishonest practices, it simply cannot be of any use.The best remedy to this is to never buy another automobile from a disreputable company like Kia as long as I live.

Works Fine
Works as expected. The only instructions that come with it is a website where you look up the make and model, then it gives the instructions how to program it. Had to take it to the dealer to get it programmed.

Keyless Remote works for 2011 KIA Forte
All, this keyless remote programmed fine and all functions worked for my 2011 KIA Forte. I had my keyless remote programmed at the KIA dealership for $75, I called a locksmith but they wanted $70 dollars to program the keyless remote so I just went to the dealership.

2012 Kia Forte Swapped Chip
My old key fob broke, just the plastic piece, the chip inside was still fine (no programming required). So I ordered this, used a screwdriver to swap the chips and it works! I just threw away the old plastic encasement and new chip. Now I have a new working fob and an extra battery.

It looked nice. So there's that.
Otherwise, I would have been better off taking several $20 bills and burning them. Because even after returning the product for (I hope) a full refund, I'm still out the cost the dealer charged even with their discount for not being able to get it to work. Plus my time and incidental expenses.
