Proscan Automotive Modified ELM 327a for use with Forscan ELMconfig HS MS CAN switch fitted FTDI Chip

This item was recommended by the Ford Kuga Owners club. Plugged it into my car, connected to the free software on my laptop and easily diagnosed a faulty ABS sensor which was throwing up lots of alarms on the dashboard. Fitted a new sensor and all good. Total cost less than £70 including the sensor. Much cheaper than a visit to the garage.

Lot of fussing about to get what i wanted it to do needed to turn on washer pump sensor on Ford Focus had to try and get extended licence which did not come with product not easy to do and have to pay £37 for a full licence

Apart from a few set up gripes. Works well with what I needed. That’s why 4 stars. Well worth the money.A little tricky to load the diagnostic drivers so it works with the latest version of Forscan.Would be useful to have a link for the diagnostic drivers instead of CD, trying to find new laptop with CD reader is getting rare.HS and MS switch could do with being marked up.

Worked right out of the box. Did not even need to install the driver. Just installed ForScan from the CD and plugged the ELM327 into the USB port. Used with Ford Focus, worked a treat.
