Happy all around with this purchase, my husband keeps thanking me....
Bought these for my husband because he had an old pair of Teva sandals for years and liked them. He liked them so much he would wear them to work... These seemed more appropriate for being taken to work... When his old ones were wearing out, looking online for a replacement for him decided to give Teva another shot. May I say my husband praises my choice for him every time we are together and he puts them on. He has an elevated upper foot arch and the Teva is roomy enough to make the shoes comfortable. I purchased a nine. He usually wears a nine in closed shoes. Very happy with the purchase. They are good looking, seem sturdy, easy to put on.

Great hiking sandals
These are my 2nd pair. Comfortable and well made.

Comfortable, but....
These sandals fit well and are relatively pleasing to the eye. My only caveat is that they rub just under the ankle bone on both sides. Be prepared for some blisters until your ankles toughen up.

They rubbed my feet RAW -- I don't know how other people wear these.
Awful. I tried so hard to like these. Everyone else in the reviews loved em' and for the price, they had to be good. Nope. First hike, they rubbed my rear heel so raw, I was walking in flip-flops for the next few days. I figured "they just need breaking in". Second hike (just over 3 miles), I wrapped my feet in athletic tape. It helped a little until they got wet, then same problem. "Last try, they've got to be better!" I lied to myself. I put moleskin on the rear of the heel where they rubbed and same problem. These shoes are great in every way expect for the heel material; it's made of a tough flex PVC type plastic wrapped in fabric. Horrible. I can't believe I wasted $65 on these.

A Worthy Product
These sandals are comfortable and well-constructed (and they are not from china). The only criticism that I have is for the fit guide. Based on heel to toe measurement, I suggest that you order the next full size up.

Junk
I bought the omniums many years ago, but the sole had no trac left and I was slipping while walking in wet surfaces. Was trying to buy more omniums, but all they make are these omnium II. I bought then thinking they must be improved versions. I was wrong. They are super uncomfortable. They are not as flexible. They are a tighter fit. They are stiff at the heel causing blisters in 30 minutes or so. Who wants to wear socks with sandals? I miss my omniums as they were the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned. These are junk.

3 tightening settings
Not flashy colors but these light closed toe sandals look tough enough for hiking . I appreciate the 3 different tightening settings.

Perhaps I have a high foot shape, but I found the elastic grip across the top of both feet way too tight. I cut the main piece of elastic off, but the whole sandal is designed as a foot gripping alien foot sucker thing, so was not the sandal for me. Apart from that, the overall quality is high.

Another review mentioned the very uncomfortable heel on the sandals and I should've listened. I tried them on but within a few minutes the back of my heel/achilles started to hurt from the hard material inside the sandal rubbing on it. It's a shame because the rest of the sandals seem very comfortable.

For the first three weeks, these were the most vicious, evil shoes I have ever worn. They really fight back during the wearing-in stage, demanding far more time and suffering than any other shoes I have ever owned. So it is definitely worth buying well in advance of when you really need them. Thankfully this phase is behind us, and after a week of kayaking, beaches and heat I can write a proper review. These sandals truly are comfortable to wear with wet feet, and the anti-odour coating definitely works. The sole is grippy on seemingly any surface, including mossy submerged rocks and SUP boards. The longest walk I have taken so far was only around 45 minutes, but in hot weather the sandals stayed comfortable - no rubbing, no blisters, no squeaking and no sweating. There's no hiding the fact that they are not much to look at. When you just want sandals which can handle anything you demand of them on active outdoors/waterside activities, ugliness seems very hard to avoid.
