foil on both sides. Great as a vapor barrier for a spa or sauna. This is a heavy duty foil vapor barrier. It does not tear as it's being applied. Easier to apply in small areas if it's custom cut to fit the wall dimensions vs. rolling it out on the wall and then cutting.

I recently installed this vapor barrier as part of a remodel to a large steam room/shower enclosure. It was moderately easy to work with, the material was surprisingly durable (and strong), and it did not accidentally tear during installation, and it was easy to bend it to turn corners without wrinkling.. A sharp utility knife or scissors was required to cut the product. The extra width reduced the amount of work needed for installation, and the material was easily set in place with a staple gun. Excellent value.

The foil is tough enough that it doesn't tear easily around wood staples. It's thick enough to easily be applied without any trouble. It's been behind my Douglas fir paneling now for about 9 months, and I haven't noticed any funny smells. Very happy with this backing!

DO NOT BUY FOR YOUR SAUNA. This is plastic in between two tiny layers of aluminum. I put it in my oven and it shrunk at 185 degrees. Just buy from a sauna website I can't find it anywhere on Amazon unfortunately.

Don't usually write (or feel compelled to) reviews but I wanted to express how fully satisfied I am with this vapor barrier. It's durable, flexible and just superior to simple plastic coverings. I believe it's 8 mil and reinforced. When applying I made a bad swing with my hammer-stapler and struck the product missing my framing and all it did was crumple it without tearing! Really happy with this and highly recommend it!

Used this product as a moisture barrier and Infrared barrier when building my sauna. It is very durable and helps keep the sauna hot.

Arrived with no label,receipt,or markings indicating what you ordered. Other than that I tested it at 188f for 10min. No deformation as claimed elsewhere. Seems like a solid product. Would be 5 stars if package came with any information to confirm you got what you paid for
