Super excited to get this watch, though it is a second hand watch ( used ) . The watch looks brand new, really nice. I was leary to buy it without seeing it but, very surprised that you can't tell it is,absolutely does not look like it. My wife has had a couple of cheap watches that looked more or less like this over the last few years but they kept losing time or breaking in some way, so we decided to get a higher quality watch. After looking at a lot of possible options, this is the one we chose. She wanted something neutral, feminine, reasonably dressy, no funny-looking frills with the ability to read the time at night. I also wanted one that had an expansion in it, rather than being stretchy (I kept getting pinched or snagged by her last watch).Anyway, this watch isn't particularly cheap for what it is, but it satisfied all her requirements and was her favorite that we saw. It's a well-constructed and nice-looking watch, and certainly several cuts above the walmart stuff she has been wearing lately. This has a silver face with only a few numbers. There was another from Citizen with a white face and bolder numbers which I would have bought her, but this is the one she picked.Couple of neutral comments:* It took her a while to figure out how to take it off (she's used to stretchy-linked watches). I really like the band, though. The manufacturing quality seems very good. It also has no tendency to catch on things or scratch things or people.* She finds it a little heavier than expected. Part of this is the quality. She's used to it now but it was a bit of a shock. It's a very dense, solid watch for its size.* This watch is silent. Even with your ear right next to it you can't hear the ticks. Most watches are quiet but this one gets all the way there.* I really like the design of the watch band clasp. Actually the whole watch band is really nice. It looks good and feels good and is smooth to remove. Never opens up when you don't want it to.Couple of things that could be better:* The hands glow through the night but are pretty faint. She says it's hard to figure out what time it is in the dark. The numbers and tick marks don't glow either. She wishes there was some kind of indiglo or brighter glow-in-the-dark lights. You can make out the time, but it's by no means easy.* The day of the week has a spanish setting too. Spanish days kept coming up and she had to change it to English over and over. She thinks she had to do it once for each day of the week---seven times. Now it's no problem but it was really insistent on using Spanish days. There could be user error here, but Citizen could have done a better job with that design. Not a problem after you finally get it fully switched over.* She was hoping it would be a little smaller. She says like 15%. It's not exactly a problem. She wishes the band was a hair thinner and the base less tall (measured from wrist to face).In summary this is a very nice, high quality watch with a lot of pluses. The biggest downside is the low amount of light the hands put out...not as great as we would like at night time.

My daughter loves it

My original watch went for over 13+ years! Mine first of this watch finally could no longer keep up. Went to my jeweler several times for the last 5 years. But 13+ years is the best daily watch. This will last for years. Great watch!
