Perfect PLA+ and the refills let you save money and reduce waste
Always get good results with this stuff, and now that it's a good deal cheaper (~£6) to buy the refills for the master spool, so it lets me save a bit of money. It only used to be around £1 cheaper to get a refill, which might not have been worth the hassle as it can be a bit fiddly to put on the master spool. Quality is the same as the regular spooled version, really good results with every print straight out of the packet.

Use for supporting only as it will dissolve.
Ideal for printing detailed models that need supports. It’s a soft and off colour filament that doesn’t cause clogging up the extruder, and is easy to remove when your model is finished. Not a bad price considering it gets washed away.

Good filament the spool not so much
I tried to disassemble the spool after I used up all of the filament. Looked at the esun video on how to. Copied it and broke two clips doing it. It does still clip back together however in the long term I don't think it will survive

No wasted empty spools
Great stuff, wish I'd found it earlier when first starting off . Being a lover of life and hating waste this is a great idea. I have a pile of old spools and no one wants or needs any. I bought 4 reusable spools and should never need any more. The filament is good quality, never have any problems and comes in a wide variety of colours and types.

Great print results at 210 and lovely deep red colour
Excellent filament, prints very nicely at 210 degrees and gives a very rich red colour. I especially like the option to keep the spool and refill it again.

PVA wasn't sealed, it is as if quality assurance dipped the spool in water to see if it dissolves.
Did you dip the filament in water before packing, to test if it dissolves? Polymaker's PVA breaks in MMU, but if you aren't going to use that, I would recommend Polymaker. If you want a good PVA. For now, I guess I will need to dry it for many more days and search for another manufacturer. The video of it is me after drying for 12h, it was worse right out of the box. Just look at the water vapour coming out of it, it is crazy. The filament is nearly as soft as a TPU due to moisture content. The Mylar bag that it comes with was open, I thought maybe mine was a faulty one, ordered another one because I needed a dry one ASAP. That one came open as well. I believe they just send the bag for storage and don't even care to seal it?? Hey, eSun you just need to heat it and they seal!!! Take Polymaker as a guide, they actually seal their PVA bags. Such a shame that this company barely improved in quality in the last 10 years or so, their product range is large, but I guess I will have to try to avoid it for 10 more years :( :(

Not as easy to install as I had imagined
I have lots of eSun (reusable) reels lying around, so I thought it was about time I gave a refill a try. At the time of writing this, it is a £1 saving to buy the refill. Unlike other reviews, mine was the correct weight and dimensions and appears to be exactly what was expected. Installation onto an official eSun reel was more tricky than I expected. The nuts are not captive, so re-installing the bolts was a real pain. You have to cut the straps off after assembling the reel, so you have to undo the bolts a bit to let you pull the straps out. Then I realised that the end of the plastic was threaded a weird way through the side, so I had to unbolt it again and un-thread the plastic. As it stands, the effort of installing the refill is not worth the £1 saving to me, as I use around 15 reels a month, that's quite a lot of time for a little saving, so I won't be buying this again. If the saving was more like £2-£3 I would consider it. To be honest it's just nice to have a reel ready to go straight out the box, when you are doing a lot of printing.

Very hard to print, the material keeps getting stuck in the printer
Unfortunately this Filament is terrible. It extremely hard to print and feed in through any 3d printer which uses gears to pull in the filament. The filament does dissolve in water quite well however though

Valt tegen.

Ottimo prodotto, nessun problema nell’usarlo, attenzione assorbe umidità velocemente

Liebes eSun Team: MACHT WEITER SO!!
