This printer worked good. The only problem and it is a problem typical of ink jets is that the ink cartridge will gum up and need to be replaced even if it's not empty if you don't use it often enough.

I'm very pleased with my recent purchase of this printer. The canon BJC 85 may seem outdated by some of the more modern portables, but, in my experience, this is still the absolute best and most reliable portable to carry. The print speed is slow by modern standard, but , in my opinion, that is outweighed by the ease of operation, very light weight, and inexpensive and easily refillable ink tanks. It's still the smallest and lightest full function portable available.The fact that it is is a Plug-and Play with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 is a HUGE plus in my opinion. No CD to fumble with or loose. Nothing to download. And the USB connectivity makes it a snap. Just plug it into the computer and it's installed. Nothing could be simpler.Sadly, finding that the scanner feature is not compatible with VISTA and 7 is a let down, but if someone runs XP, having the ability to buy a scanner cartridge and convert the printer to a portable scanner is very convenient. I don't think that there is any other portable capable of that.The outside case is durable and hides scuffing well. And it seems to take travel well. I've owned both a newer Canon iP90 and iP90v prior to switching back to this printer and am glad I did. The silver cases of the iP's got very scratched quickly and tended to look very beat up. And both, while giving excellent print, seemed to be very touchy.This BJC 85 is something I've owned before. I'm glad I was able to find a used one in such good shape on Amazon, and am glad to have this old friend back.

Received printer promptly and it is in beautiful condition, not a mark on it, works perfectly with my laptop running Windows 7. Print quality is fine, not as good as a newer desktop printer. But terrific for a portable printer that I can take with me to Mexico. Very well packaged with all parts as promised. Highly recommend this seller and this product.

Printer too much trouble...frustated me, Not like what the seller decribe. You have to wait so long to get the printers working..wasting time and wasting papers also

This is a very nice printer that I have been using for years. However, the first one I bought wasn't even the correct model (BJC-80) and it didn't even work, so I had to return it and buy it again from someone more reputable. So I would just recommend to look at the description and make sure that you are getting it from a good seller...

Printer came well packaged and as described. This is my second BJC 85 printer. My first was bought in 2008 and was well-worth the price.

Printer was received promptly and it looked brand new. I was amazed how simple it was to use; just plug and play. I love the size and the weight for easy storage. Would highly recommend this product.

I had one of these years ago. The newer models are faster, but this one has (slower but) better print quality, a bit wider carriage. Ink tanks are a little hard to find, but can be refilled easily. Great find.

The printers arrived with auxiliary battery packs attached, which was a bonus that I did not expect. The only thing that was not supplied, which would have been useful, were the little round boxes for storing the partially used print head that is not actually in use. (e.g. if you are printing in colour, then the all black print head needs to be stored in a hermetically sealed container). Buying a re-furbished printer from this supplier, makes more sense than trying to get a non-functioning machine repaired.

We received excellent customer service from PrinterStar, who were prompt with help and questions. Be aware though that this model requires both a BC-10 print cartridge head (not included) and BCI-10 ink tanks.The ink isn't too dear but a new cartridge can set you back a bit.

Brauche einen kleine Drucker für unterwegs. Größe und Schnelligkeit sind in Ordnung.Leider sehr unsauberr Druck. Alle paar Seiten muss ich eine Intensivreinigung machen. Dadurch kann man nicht mehrere Seiten in Auftrag geben, da nicht garantiert ist, ob die nächste Seite ausdruckt. Keine Anzeige für Patronenfüllstand gefunden. Farbe druckt nicht. Oder ist er ohne Patronen geliefert? Sollte einem dann doch aber gesagt werden. Na vielleicht wird es ja noch.. . . und schon wieder kein Ausdruck.
