Underwhelming
The flavors are decent, but lack spice. They are mildly salty and acidic, yet not much else. Compared to other jarred tapenades, these are a bit boring. Use them as a condiment with a spicy sausage rather than a dip. The eggplant is the best, it's actually pretty good.

Maybe just get the black olive tapenade?
The black olive tapenade is amazingly delicious, but I could do without the artichoke. It lacked seasoning, and had a fairly slimy mouth feel. Kudos to the black olive, though!

Look elsewhere
I'll start with the artichoke parmesan: it's watery and oily at the same time, doesn't taste like either ingredient, and I served it at a get-together and people tried it, but when cleaning dishes it was featured on every single empty dish as having been untouched. I love both ingredients, but this mix is disappointing. The black olive tapenade: one of the other reviewers made a good point and that it doesn't really taste like black olives. Like the flavor was lost along the way. The worst part of the two jars I got was that they were full of pieces of pits. I almost broke a tooth multiple times (you figure that was the last piece of pit and you eat with reckless abandon only to be disappointingly surprised again), and it wasn't one jar, it was both.

Bland Bland Bland
The artichoke Parmesan is extremely thin and extremely bland. It has literally no flavor, of either artichoke or Parmesan, which was a huge disappointment. Definitely tossing this in the trash. The other is decent but there’s certainly better spreads out there and it doesn’t compensate for the artichoke Parmesan waste.

what a treat
These are the handiest items to have on hand. I've used both with salmon, pasta, and on veggies. Try adding olive spread to egg salad and combining the artichoke spread with cream cheese for an instant dip. I hope more of these sorts of products become available
