Mannesmann Oil Filter Strap Wrench, Long M 178

It’s my own fault for not reading the description properly, I was more interested in the next day delivery, it’s slightly smaller than the one it was bought to replace so not actually a problem with the tool, just the tool that bought it. The old one had a wider strap and a longer handle. However it did the job it was asked to do (nothing to do with oil filters), I’ll probably look for a slightly bigger version at some point but that’s because what I use it for really requires a slightly bigger tool. Make sure you check the measurements, measure twice buy once, that’s my tip of the day.

This was bought to open jars with. Best jar opener ever. Works on everything. Big jars, small jars, bottles. It may not be the prettiest kitchen gadget, but it's very effective. Before anyone says anything, yes I know what it is used for, I already have one in the garage, but that is covered in oil so wasn't coming to live in the kitchen, despite my oil changing days being over.

I could not get a good grip on the filter with this tool. I had to use a different tool to get it undone. However I did use it to tighten up the new filter as it didn't need to be too tight also this tool doesn't mark or damage the new filter.

Good product and easy to use although if any oil gets on the belt at all it just slips round and needs cleaning.

Used to replace an oil filter, snapped when tightening it again. Two uses, snapped on the second. Absolutely not fit for purpose.
