Reliable, Handy, Must-Have for Busy Nurses
Taking care of 36 residents on night shift in a skilled nursing facility, I do not have time to run for the 'molly' for vitals and an oximeter. Having this in my pocket cuts so many steps out of my day. Auto-on when placed on the finger, auto-off when removed from finger. O2% and pulse rate are displayed. Four months of 3 twelves a week and the battery is still going. The aids and other nurses love to borrow it. I don't know if this is recommended by mfr but I clean it with the 'nuclear' sanitizing wipes with no discoloration or disintregration. I have dropped it a few times onto tile and so far it has held up.I also carry the Omron 7 Series Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor, and this fits inside the bracelet, so it only takes up as much room as the blood pressure monitor. I highly recommend this oximeter.

A very good pulse ox that does work on infants!
As a pediatric nurse I feel it is appropriate to give this product 5 stars. Yes with the pediatric probe you can get a reading on infants. The youngest I have tried with is a 9 week old. You do still need to make sure the probe is on as far as it will go and you hold their foot still. Of course it has a harder time reading because what baby holds perfectly. I have used several different pulse oximeters and on all ages this one is definitely worth the money. Plus I like the fact that the screen auto rotates and the device does not have any buttons. It only activates when it senses your finger. This is good because other ones I have used wore the battery down in my pocket by the button getting pushed accidentally.

Works well on small children
Works very well. Nothing to set up, just install the battery. I really like the easy to read color display and you get a reading fairly quickly.Specifically purchased this for use on a 6 month old child and this was the only one I found with an attachment with the small second sensor for use on very small fingers or toes. When using on a small child, they pretty much have to be asleep to get a reading because any motion hinders the sensor from working. Got good reading on either a thumb or big toe. Fingers were just too small to work. The unit beeps and lights up when the sensor is positioned correctly. Also handy is the heart rate displayOn adults using just the clamshell it work fine as well

Buy only if you need it for a small child/infant
Pros:The performance of this oximeter is awesome. It does what it's supposed to. It gives a fast, accurate reading. The infant probe works flawlessly on my 11 months old son. My wife says that she even got it working on his toe. We weren't able to get a reading on him with any other oximeter because it's impossible to keep him still.Cons:Product manual could be a little more informative I guess. My wife didn't even notice the infant probe in the package and it wasn't mentioned in the manual.Price!!! This price seems to be WAY too high for me which is why I've deducted a star. It gives essentially the same performance as my $20 oximeter, The only thing that sets it apart is the infant probe. I can't imagine it being fair to charge almost 6 times the price of a similar oximeter just because it has an infant probe, but that's the reality. I would have knocked more stars off, but since I was unable to find another oximeter with an infant probe to compare it to I left it at 4 stars. So, I guess I have to give them credit for at least providing a reliable, product to monitor my son with even if it is overpriced.Verdict:Works great on my 11 months old and I have found nothing else that will. Also works great on my 3 years old, but so does the $20 pulse oximeter that I originally bought. So, if you need it for a small child that can't sit still then get it. But for older kids then save your money.

Accurate
Works great, easy to use. Accurate compared to respiratory personnels pulse oximetry meter in the emergency room and in the doctor's office. Still a little difficult to get a reading on my 12 month old grandchild but after some work readjusting we do get a reading. Very quick reading for myself.,

Pediatric proble stopped working
The oximeter was really good but the pediatric probe stopped working after two days using it.We found out that the wires were short so they got broken. We decided to return the item.So if your buying just for the probe, I would not recommend.

Works on tiny fingers and is accurate!
During a bronchitis episode with our 3 year old son I kept checking his oxygen to determine if he needs a breathing treatment. We first used a different brand that had mixed reviews on accuracy for young kids (it did fine for us the adults). It kept reporting oxygen levels in the 80s (too low) even after breathing treatments, when he was breathing fine. We ordered this one because of the pediatric probe attachment. It detected very fast and was accurate (compared at the doctors office with professional one). Our son becomes hyperactive and even aggressive from albuterol so we wanted to administer only when necessary, when oxygen saturation drops below 95%.

the pulse ox works amazingly but this item gets lesser ...
the pulse ox works amazingly but this item gets lesser stars due to the attachment only working for a day and then completely stopped working. when I plug it in it reads the air but when you put a finger in the attachment it just yells finger out.
